I said "gold buyers and those few elite rich". Most players are never going to have more than a couple million gil.Why does everyone assume that if you've built up 10 million gil, you're a gilbuyer? There is very little outside of housing or crafting to spend your money on. If you're not into either of them, then it's pretty easy to build several million gil. I am aware, however, that Lamia server has one of the few functioning economies, thanks to our primarily lowbie population and relatively small serious endgame crowd.

What "few elite rich" though? I didn't inherit my wealth from my 1.0 character, I buckled down and crafted all my millions. Nothing elite about blood, sweet, tears, and cranking out level 30 HQ gear en masse.
I think of the elites in this game as the people throwing themselves as Alexander Savage, not the crafting schlubs like me who'd rather spend that time in front of the market board.

And availability is limited and if they continue the same housing system in the future there won't be enough houses for the majority of players,
Within this system there is a simple solution: giving privilige to players on my friendlist to use personal housing only, and FC houses stay the same only accesable to said FC members.
Thank you whoever used my RaF code & if you need anything PM me here or /tell in-game.

Your reply is most helpful,I believe six million was the maximum ceiling beforehand anyway. But on Lamia server when housing launched, a small house was 1.6 million. It jumped to double that about three months ago, and to four million as of two weeks ago. That is reflecting Lamia's economy more than anything else. System working as intended.

That was what I wanted to check, if the system was working based on economy or not,
What is the price of M and L houses plots at your server?

A large house at release was 35 million. It had depreciated to 27 million by the time we were able to buy one. The last personal one sold for just under 60 million because Lamia server had jumped to the "middle class" of servers by then.
When housing is relinquished, the price jumps to whatever the maximum before depreciation was. My small plot was 4 million, which is right for a 1st class plot based on 2.38 prices with no depreciation.
SE had released a grid as of patch 2.38 for housing prices. On this chart, you can see that servers with more money flowing around had higher prices. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...6869b10e012e57
At the next release of housing, servers will be re-evaluated and re-classed and all prices will jump to maximum for that server class again.

definitely need to stay as previous prices were, no other way.
dont screw it up even worse then it is now se, please...do the right thing.
Not everyone enjoys crafting. Besides, you wouldn't be able to make money from crafting stuff if everyone crafted.
Personally I tried crafting in this game, found I hated it with a passion, and won't touch it any further. But houses shouldn't be affordable only for people who craft. I can get a housing plot in WildStar just for hitting level 14. Decorating it costs gold, but heck I would much rather have my gold go into actually enjoying a game system, instead of grinding gold just for a slim chance at being able to access said system.

It should be bought with Seals, not "gil".
If the price is raised, only the people with money will take them, and everyone else will not have it.
I don't craft, I currently sit on over 70m gil waiting for more housing to be released. I got about 40m of that in a month. There's always gathering, SBing, playing markets, just plain setting up a casino, farming mats to sell. If you don't want to do any of the things that make gil, then yeah, thats too bad, you're not gonna make gil, but there are options. Not everyone enjoys crafting. Seriously - some of the materials for HW level crafting sell for an arm and a leg. The friend of mine who bought her mansion after I loaned her 3.5 million gil got all of her money from farming things like wyvernskins, archeornis skins, etc. She'd go out and punch Elder Wyverns for an hour and come out with 100-200K worth of materials easily.I don't craft, I currently sit on over 70m gil waiting for more housing to be released. With all that said, the maximum price for a small house per SE's grid was six million, and I don't think a small house should ever sell for more than that.
