    Premades ruining the PvP experience

Hey guys, posting this here in hope of SE reading it and doing SOMETHING to stop this. Lately on Aether DC there's a huge group of adders running around as premade groups ruining the experience for everyone.

How do they queue together? They all sit in comms waiting for their queues to pop at the same time. If they don't pop together they decline which severely cripples one group of adders. If they pop together they just steam roll over everyone. One alliance on comms vs strangers will win more often than not.

If they had one dedicated night where they queue up together, like Blubbers had with his group, that would be fine since other GC's can make their own premade groups and have fun going at it with each other, but when it's a premade group every single night vs a random group it's not a fun experience.

My suggestion; make a separate queue for people wanting to queue together as an alliance- not everyone has the time to setup or join a group to setup an alliance to PvP with. A few months ago I would never have suggested this since the PvP community was so tiny back then, but lately I feel as if it has grown so much that this might actually work.

If that isn't possible since the PvP community is just too small then give a bigger penalty to declining a PvP queue. Since alliances are not allowed to queue together at the moment, they have to decline a queue to make sure that they are put into the same match. Hopefully harsher penalties for declining queues will dissuade premades from constantly declining queues in order to get into the same game.

Please keep comments to proper discussion. If you feel this isn't necessary, that's fine and you are more than welcome to make your opinion heard, but please let's keep this civilized and constructive.

    Thanks

Giving a bit harsher penalty for declining a match seems reasonable. 30 mins for missing queue twice. 45 - 60 mins for declining (with warning of course).

While I am not a fan. What you may not realize the only reason you are getting pops is because they are queing. Two, they have to be queing as full parties. I can not believe so few adders are queing that they can get 24 people in from solo ques. Also the adder pugs get stomped because the other teams push them to try to stop premades. A few times after a premade a pug might only score 100 points.

I enjoy when Faerie and Balmung have their premades going. They don't seem to stack any class. I seem to have deleted my old screen shots but I assume the other premade group is the same class stackers from slaughter. They would not be nearly as impressive if they were all bards or paladins instead of summoners and warriors. If Flames have enough regulars and score gets a little out of control we might just make adders life miserable for the fun.

If they remove Grand Companies you should expect more team based games. Flames and Maelstrom just can't risk the que. So while those adder premades feel good about themselves now give it some time when they have no competitive advantage. Also the advantage of solid pugs with multiple rank 45+ flames is gone, since we have so many jumpers last few weeks.

I would actually like an unsynced, no grand company, and alliance que mode. Criers beware, just imagine rank 50s running around in full 210 pvp gear with the odd pve piece. But right now I suggest no fixes except Grand Companies die. The duty finder is run by two undead hamsters (it's true, really believe me). Anything added to it and we would not fix anything. In other games you didn't have to worry about premades to much. You get stomped once and onto the next match since the que was solid.

This is exactly my point and why I mentioned blubbers. I used to play with him and the premade group and everyone there had class to them. No spawn camping and never kicked someone when they're down. You pick what job you want to play as and you make it work.

This adders Gilga premade just stacks a bunch of ranged, heals and some tanks and spawn camp. Some games they don't even cap nodes and win off of mostly kills. Jammyto's response is the perfect example of the attitude this premade has, which is terrible. You never see Blubbers or anyone from his group acting like Jammy (childish)

I specifically didn't name the server or people. They get their kicks now. Maybe in the future when they have to face some other teams of premades when other servers can que against them they won't be so yappy. Maybe they have some actual skills.

Just generally if you are a winner, you act like one. I try to call out people if I see them emoting dead bodies or spawn camping. Luckily for me I am a healer, I just don't follow them or heal them. Lots of people need healing and tough to be a jerk when you are running for your life.

I think Adders have the best frontlines premades at the moment, and Jammy To's team is srsbsns

We got them by 200 points the other day with a Maelstrom pug. I used to run in a premade 8 man back in secure, so I can't complain about it.

Harsher punishment for que dodging is the only think I could even possibly see being an option. Honestly, I don't think it would actually fix much, but at least it wouldn't hurt anything either. Ques are rough enough as it is. Until they kill the GC's, there's not a lot that can be done about things like this that won't just make those que times even worse.

Maybe, A possible game changer would be if you change GC and get a a new pre-made in that GC? At least you wouldn't have to put up with it until SE makes the changes we all hope they will.

If they're going to try and suck the fun out of it for you then don't queue when they're stalking about. At most you'll see them for one match, if that. PvP at different hours of the day.

Will it suck trying to get matches? Most likely.
Will you have a better time in those matches? Probably.
Is there anything you can do about it? No, not immediately anyway.

Hate to say it, but unless you can come up with your own 24 man premade its going to suck pugging it. Simple solution is to just not PvP during primetime. Such is the result of having an open system that allows you to queue with friends.
