Bard have a healing songs?

Yes the HP regen song, Voice of Valor is used in the level 56 Bard quest. And I personally feel they should of given us that over Wanderers Paeon. I feel they could of done a lot more with Bard and by Proxy Machinist, but they fell a little short. While I cant speak about Machinist a lot, I can say that Gauss Barrell works a lot better then Wanderer's Minuet because Machinist actually has combos. But yeah Bard is a support Job, so more supporty moves makes sense. Honestly if Wanderers Paeon acted more like an Esuna that would be better.

Yeah, I would love the healing song too. Would be nice way to help healers in heavy healing phases in savage.
To the bards don't sing rant: I would never forget to give MP to heal or Foe to mages, but I wouldn't give TP to tank in dungeons or trials. Reason is simple, tank can easily manage his TP not to completely run out and if he uses them all to do DPS, nice, but he still won't do more DPS than me, so casting TP song for one tank is contraproductive and in end it will yield less total DPS.

So if tank asks for TP I will say nope or wait untill some melee runs out (I don't mean 0 TP) of it and I cast it for him.

Welp since ffxiv basically killed off the support classification (your either tank, dps, or healer), your likely not going to see any other classes other than healers doing any healing. Ive never understood why they couldnt make parties composed of either 2 dps or 1 support and a dps. In cases of larger parties 1 dps slot can be interchangeable with a support class. I guess that is to difficult to code or makes too much sense though. I mean we dont want people to have support classes, that involves some strategy and shit. We just want them to have to dodge scripted mechanics and all. So yeah thats why bards dont have healing songs... and dont really use songs... and classes are pretty straight forward.

If it's tuned around not having it, if you DO have it, the fight is a joke.

That's why. There IS a reason many games don't have a support role, it's because they can easily break the fights.

50/50? Wow I must just always pull the worst of the bunch then. Like the Bard in my Neverreap who I had to ask to use Foe's and she did... for exactly the ONE pull I asked on. Or how about the 8-man with TWO bards, neither of whom used any song whatsoever.

Or why not just pick on every class since iv seen horrible tanks horrible healers and so forth

Well sorry you come across such bad bards I on the other had have played with countless singing bards who foe use the tp song and mp song when need be. And my sister is one of the best bards iv seen in Balmung she plays songs like shes eating candy that said. If she had a healing song to help with stuff well i'm all for it

No, exactly the stupid kind of thinking that this game is breeding. Any other person would look at other strategies and base a situation on NEED during the moment, not whether or not a fight REQUIRES it.. My post implies having to use your brain during a fight, i know its difficult. People low on health, one healers down, situation calls for some extra healing, maybe bard helps party recover for example. Thats called support. You dont tune a fight to require or not require something. You make people strategize for different scenarios, the healing song wouldnt be up 24/7, if it was, the song would need tuning, not the fight... sigh.

The problem is that sounds like an utter nightmare to balance.
If it heals too little, it is worthless in itself. Think of a smn using physick in an actual raid environment where the boss sneezing does more damage then a smn physick can heal.
If you make it worthwhile it got potential to utterly break some stuff when you time it during certain parts.
You talk about stupid kind of thinking, but you would be surprised of the stuff people can think off that can break fights.
