Now you guys can complain about astro broken shield/healing instead of Smn burst lol.

WAR/DRG/MCH have higher bursts than summoners
Summoners are strong in seize the same reason black mages are strong in slaughter, its easy for terrible players to use them as a strong back line
Lets wait for wolves den to come out to actually test them in a proper pvp environment instead of a casual mode, then we can properly assess their power
I did not know DRG had a comparable burst to SMN... I'd been putting off lvl'ing my DRG back up to max. I guess I'm gonna have to check that out now.WAR/DRG/MCH have higher bursts than summoners

That aside, I agree. The back line passive aggressive approach of BLM's and SMN's are really the only reason I ever see them as a threat in Seize, and I have a sneaky suspicion that threat will be completely nerfed in Wolves Den. To be honest, IF you have an even somewhat competent team dynamic, that threat is already cut in half. I am actually happy to see SMN's and BLM's on enemy teams, because I know that, even if the battle ground swings the smallest bit, they're an easy target to eliminate. Send in a tank to soak dmg and work a stun, and that SMN is usually ground up into pulp in a matter of seconds. You only need one or two (if you like overkill) dps to follow you and the SMN becomes a massive point bleed instead of point gain. Worse yet, if that SMN has no heals on their team, or their healers are just dumb or otherwise occupied, a DRK or WAR can handle it alone. Problem solved. No balancing needed.
Sssshhhh don't tell too many summoners this. I enjoy having them foolishly confront me solo the rare times I can in a one on one scenario as dragoon. I had no idea mch had that strong a burst though to rank up there with war and drg since I dont have mch leveled.WAR/DRG/MCH have higher bursts than summoners

MCH burst isn't stronger. It's still pretty strong, but I wouldn't pair it up to the same levels as SMN or a melee. It's also less reliable because of the varied range penalty and how detrimental it can be for a small range difference.
Put the casters on uphill nodes (coughcavecough) and it's annoying to all hell trying to retake it when they can safely hit you for max damage.

You should probably blame your bad healers for never throwing a heal on you while you were focused by a SMN burst combo...
... Unless you want PvP to be "balanced" around mediocre players, of course.
Well, since their combo is very easily shut down by a single heal and the fact that after their burst they become the worst job in PvP for an entire minute (DoTs are a joke and they have no defensive capabilities at all), yes, healers should prioritize saving someone from getting a full SMN combo in the face.
I mean, it's the deadliest burst in PvP, (after melee LB, and Machinist, and Warrior combo...) so yes, healing a teammate at least once for him to survive one of the the most powerful damage dealing combo seems to be a reasonable idea. Its so obvious I don't even know why you are even sarcastic about it.
Is healing against a glass canon job a new concept for you? I'm seriously asking because I'm starting to doubt your knowledge on PvP priorities in terms of healing.

I'm not sure what class you're describing about, because that just about sums up machinist as well, except their dps is also reliant on staying mid range than max range DoTs.Well, since their combo is very easily shut down by a single heal and the fact that after their burst they become the worst job in PvP for an entire minute (DoTs are a joke and they have no defensive capabilities at all), yes, healers should prioritize saving someone from getting a full SMN combo in the face.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to prove right now. I'm not trying to pass off summoners as being unstoppable, but their burst is among oneof the more reliable and potent ones all things considered.
