next thing you know, ppl are going to complain about the drop rate for thav silk and want tokens to drop from maps so you can trade them in for item. just farm the stuff/gil like everyone else.I already have a job. When I log into FFXIV I want to have fun, not a second job.
Grinding gil is not fun for the majority of the playerbase, yet it keeps getting constantly jammed down our throats just to please greedy players that want the rest of the server farming gil to hand to them. The Market Board has turned into a cancer for this game with so many things tied to it to keep prices high.
And most important of all, I did suggest that primal items should be bought with tokens obtained from actually fighting the primal, yet you are against it and want to keep this RNG crap in the game. You're apparently against people doing work related to the actual primal fight, and instead want to force people into farming gil.
Everyone "farms the stuff/gil" because it's the only option we have and people like you defending this crap is why these bad mechanics are in the game.
Take the stupid RNG mechanics out of the game and let players obtain items with a reasonable amount of effort. 150 ****ing Garuda Ex's is not a reasonable amount of effort for a feather.
People did complain about the drop rate, and guess what? They buffed the drop rate. The bustier has gone from 20+ million to 1-2 million, and it's only dropping further. Couldn't be any happier myself. As Gilthas stated, fun items, like glamour shouldn't be gated behind long gil grinds, or the like. This is a game, not a job. We have enough grinds. Want to solve the RMt problem permanently? Stop making everything cost obscene amounts of gil.
this isnt about rmt lol anyway, crafting is a job and hopefully they dont nerf these drop rates. you could always sell primal runs and stuff if you dont wanna grind. make friends with a crafter or something.People did complain about the drop rate, and guess what? rng will never go away, just gonna have to deal with it.Everyone "farms the stuff/gil" because it's the only option we have and people like you defending this crap is why these bad mechanics are in the game.

Gil is directly tied into RMT, so yes everything that's gil can be related to RMT. But anyway, I never understood why crafters had this obsession with controlling the gear of PvE players, especially when it comes to pentamelded gear being worse than high end raid gear (which is how it should have been from the start), PvE items should be obtained from PvE, and crafter/gatherer items, should be obtained from their respective things. That's a discussion for another day though I guess. Already have a few crafters in our FC I think, which are more than willing to craft stuff if I bring them the mats, but that won't suddenly make the prices of the Whiskers reasonable.
And one last thing, who's going to buy a primal run of Bismarck and Ravana at this point? They're both incredibly easy with i190 gear.
yes but this thread is about primal gear being hard to obtain because of the drop rate, not rmt. Ive seen pf's selling primals but i cant say how many ppl are buying. yeah penta meld gear is lower than raid gear which means not many ppl will buy it. now you wanna take away primal weapons and make it easier for everyone to get em. rip crafters
While I might be coming at this from a different angle in that I am thinking along the lines of desynth leveling, I favor the idea of making old primal weapons easier to craft or obtain for desynth leveling purposes. Desynth on all crafting classes currently has to go through two very hard endgame style grinds, once at what was before the level 50 desynth endgame process (materials required/crafted are still extremely rare to obtain) before can even get into HW desynths then once again at the 60 endgame level range have to go through it once more.
I think an alternative would of been to alter the 50 endgame desynth range to include new easier to obtain items to make getting into HW desynth easier, by proxy removing the ARR endgame desynth process...switched instead to a more adequate and reasonable transition from ARR to HW desynths leaving a single endgame desynth process needed to go through at 60 range. This alternative could solve the double endgame style grind of desynth on all DoH while also not effecting the drop rates and rarity of the primal glamour gears. Failing doing this alternative however, second best option for me would be making those items like described here aka primal gear or materials for crafting that ARR endgame range of desynth items easier to get.

No offense, but 1.5m suggests you don't even try.

"Constantly"? What are you talking about?I already have a job. When I log into FFXIV I want to have fun, not a second job.

As far as I'm aware, unless you're heavily into crafting/gathering (which implies you're into making money anyway), or you want a select few glamour/housing items, nothing really costs you much if any gil at all.

While it's reassuring to know that my tax isn't going towards your sub fees, having to work for less common items is part of the games nature. If everyone could obtain these items with ease they would be less desirable. The primal weapons aren't exactly a short term investment either, I kept my Garuda book glamoured for ten months before I decided to switch to the Titan one. Thats the problem with a lot of the posters on these forums though, you complain about things taking too long and then make threads complaining about not having any thing to do, there's no pleasing you. It's not even like these weapons are in the top bracket of expensive items, have you seen how much the i180 crafted gear costs? These weapons have a far longer life span than the i180 crafted gear as well. Go grind the fights, work the markets like the rest of us, once you actually get your weapon it will have a lot more personal value because of the lengths you had to go to get it.

No, they just want it RIGHT NOW, because "I want to have fun", and they obviously can't do it without afking in idylshire with a mog weapon or a legacy tattoo. While it's reassuring to know that my tax isn't going towards your sub fees, having to work for less common items is part of the games nature.
