Fair enough. I'll bow out. Agree or disagree, I'm certainly not one to tell someone how to enjoy the game.

O_O Savage gear is a big upgrade, it's really noticeable, why do you think progression players took six weeks to clear savage, but then I guess if your not playing content where you need to push hard you probably wouldn't notice.
There is a lot of interest in Savage, those numbers are the people who have cleared floors, if you look through each servers sub forum you will see lots of groups recruiting for A1S, the thing is not all of these groups are raiding a lot or just starting out, it doesn't mean there is no interest. Your also assuming that at 6 weeks in everyone who's interested has gone in and cleared A1S, this is content meant to last six months, stop pigeonholing the community to enforce your personal opinion.
Raid content is needed just as much as casual content, just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad. you don't see progression players posting in threads on these forums complaining about casual content taking away from progression contents attention.
This player is completely right, and your argument about doing raids in lower tier gear is just plain stupid, the mechanics in savage are on another level, your just suggesting turning simple fights into dps races.
Seriously people like you with such a selfish approach are awful, "I don't like something so no one else should have it" get out of your bubble already.
Propably as he also wanted to rank removal from current PvP gear for some reason, also while the EQ weapon he linked looked nice i bet its either horribly OP or UP in there. GL on balancing weapons that adds new fuctions to spells/skills, they either suck or they become "must have" and thats not really fun in the end.
Actually they eventually were converted to a buff that you didn't need the weapon for anymore. Next expansion allowed you to break the weapon apart for a permanent buff. It was not required to complete content but it was /VERY NICE/.Propably as he also wanted to rank removal from current PvP gear for some reason, also while the EQ weapon he linked looked nice i bet its either horribly OP or UP in there. Yes, procs/and effects can bring imbalance but it also makes the game funner and last longer. It gives people something to work for. When I am quite bored with the game atm.
If this game had no role-play I would honestly not be paying the subscription.
I see nothing of the sort. We were provided with clear numbers, which have little to do with the general level of interest. That number doesn't include players that are currently attempting A1S but haven't downed it. It doesn't include players that are still gearing up or looking for statics. It doesn't include players that are still leveling. Using the number of clears to measure the interest level of the entire community is inaccurate at best.
Right? My reward for clearing A1S was the collective cheering of eight friends in VoIP, and posing for pictures. :3The "reward" is not gear. The "reward" is coming together with seven other individuals to down extremely difficult content after spending hours together progressing. This is the reward. And it is a thousand times better than some stupid 210 necklace that may or may not drop. But, yeah... if you're playing this game for pixels then keep on rockin' on.
Good luck on your Savage clear!

Is there honestly people claiming that the number of players taking part in content isnt related to the popularity of said content?
And here I thought de Nile was just a river in Egypt.
What's wrong with allowing people who are interested in the lore easy access to it, rather than having to form a static or wait until it's nerfed? Even then it can be difficult to pug it. I don't care for grueling over a difficult raid for hours 2-3 days a week only to make minor progress, but I appreciate being able to see the story of the content. I see no reason to force players into doing high end raiding, and in the end, this is only beneficial to the two types of players. Now that everyone has access to these raids and more are doing them, they can allocate more money into them making them bigger and better. High end raiders now have dyeable raid gear, which they've been asking for quite some time now, they get a unique mount, etc. Maybe the content won't be nerfed this time around.
There's nothing "wrong" with it. It's just a tradeoff. Compared to Coil, more people are doing Alex but less are doing Alex Savage.
As for Nerf, I suppose Alex Savage will only be "naturally nerfed" by acces to better gear. It would be odd to make it easier when its sole purpose is to be hard.
