You use the example of yourself as someone who is not invested in the content Alex presents, and then continue to say that you have cleared it. Can't we assume from this that even people who don't care about Alex will clear it, and thus the 200,000 represents most of the playerbase?

Honestly, I don't feel that the reward is worth the effort. That is why I don't even bother myself because if I do (do it) then it will get recorded and they will make more content I dislike.

I want more Open Dungeons and less closed off instances.

If Alexander Savage had gear that wasn't just (4 extra health, 4 extra strength and stats) I would probably put more effort into it.

It is difficult to tell from those numbers, as it's been pointed out they are clear numbers.

For example, my static has yet to clear A1S, but we (try) to meet twice a week to clear it. Unfortunately, we've only had 2 runs at it due to RL situations

I guess? I just never found the gear a big enough upgrade to be worth the effort. It has a terrible appearance for one and the stats are a minor upgrade and with new content coming right around the corner it will be replaced.

I think you misunderstood the part I was responding too.

I assume you are establishing that no one cares based off the low clear numbers. I was simply saying that many more people want to clear or are trying to clear who have yet to clear. Those numbers just don't reveal everything is all.

They saw how hard it was and they saw the reward for it. Decided it wasn't worth the effort. There isn't much incentive to do it for one, and honestly I can see why people are too busy to do it. Since they know its going to get easier (Echo) and they know there will be gear replacements for it soon.

I have other characters, the 60s game has been out for months. I simply decide to use this character for forums.

Roleplayers tend to have multiple characters, I dislike the "Everyone can be Everything" mentality. I am glad they are removing the main story-line in 4.0 requirement next patch.

I see nothing of the sort. We were provided with clear numbers, which have little to do with the general level of interest. That number doesn't include players that are currently attempting A1S but haven't downed it. It doesn't include players that are still gearing up or looking for statics. It doesn't include players that are still leveling. Using the number of clears to measure the interest level of the entire community is inaccurate at best.

The "reward" is not gear. The "reward" is coming together with seven other individuals to down extremely difficult content after spending hours together progressing. This is the reward. And it is a thousand times better than some stupid 210 necklace that may or may not drop. But, yeah... if you're playing this game for pixels then keep on rockin' on.

Right? My reward for clearing A1S was the collective cheering of eight friends in VoIP, and posing for pictures. :3

Is there honestly people claiming that the number of players taking part in content isnt related to the popularity of said content?
