This is my current belief as well. If this is indeed true then we may get a proper rematch with Diabolos as a 24-man raid.
I'd say Diabolos will likely return in Lost City of Amdapor HM rather than the Void Ark.
For my two cents, I think it's more likely we'll see Diabolos again in a Lost City hard mode. We're getting a hard mode of Pharos; it stands to reason that the "new", non-hard mode dungeons from the 2.x patches are going to be the new hard modes now.
Also very possible, I agree.
From what we know of the Mhachi though it was almost certainly they that summoned Diabolos from the void and unleashed him upon Amdapor, so if the Void Ark is related to them we may discover his origins there at the least. Of course that all depends on if the Void Ark is a Mhachi ship.
I expect Ferdiad to be the boss of Lost City (Hard), rather than Diabolos. Would seem odd to me for the same dungeon to have the same boss... Plus that laugh at the end of Amdapor Keep (Hard) was a clear indication that he'd be back, and were better for him to move into after the Keep than the Lost City?
I remember in 1.0 that Cait Sith was behind all the Atomos and voidsent, but I never took a pic about that.
And I can't find any info about it, so I'm starting to think I'm crazzy or something, but I'm pretty sure about the Cait Sith and 1.0 Atomos summonings.

That sounds more like Wings of the Goddess plot. Although that reminds me.....wasn't there a Void themed collaboration with the two? There was Voidwatch in XI, and as XIV started that Seventh Umbral Era to prepare the reboot, there was a bunch of Void related articles I read at the same time.
