Strong worry about the two ongoing art contests.

Hello!

I joined both the Heavensward Transition Art Contest and the Hairstyle Contest, but I worry that neither have made it to SE, although I used the provided mail addresses for each contest.

I know from talking to others that some people's art submissions have failed to get to Square Enix in past contests and this makes me worry more.

The fact that the collection of hairstyle submissions shown in the 14th Live anniversary broadcast didn't contain my entries made me more worried and even a little grumpy! I worked really hard on them!

TL;DR: I would like to know if my art submissions have been received by Square Enix at all. A confirmation mail or anything of the like would be great after all the work I and others put into the contest.

Uhh...Square isn't going to show every single entry or there'd be a million slide shows. There's more entries than what you saw; Square just picked a few random ones to show off for the contest.

Knowing how things like this work, "random" meaning "highest quality / best art skill > most creative but poor skill/quality" , which with things like this, companies get people with no art skill's hopes up to win, yet have no intention on picking the poor art skilled ones and only go for the ones with professional level quality :/

This is no different from American Idol or any showing that displays some form of talent. You're always going to get a preview that showcases some hand picked stuff and not everyone will be a winner. Anyone who gets their hopes up have only themselves to blame. It's not called a "contest" for nothing.

Is that really how SE does things? This is the very first contest i've been able to enter in and I've been waiting for them to post the results, My entries aren't anything special I didn't think I needed to add much detail other than the Hair but reading some things about it like this and seeing the ones that were shown during the live stream makes me even more uneasy and alittle sad..

Sorry if I came across as all "high and mighty", lol... A lot of the entries I've seen so far are good (better than mine!) but ever since I sent them I've been waiting for any kind of confirmation that my submissions were received at all. That's my worry! I apologize if I wasn't clear enough about that part.

Tend to agree with op.

If any entry is emailed they should set up an auto "noreply" confirmation that they received it. It would completely rule out any confusion or worry about it not going through.

I have little faith in SEs email and things like this can happen to the best email programs, im sure it has happened to everyone at one point. A fix is easy.

I agree that the op may have not been chosen as the reason he hasnt seen it,..but thats not the point, hes concerned if it even arrived which IS always a guess.

I havent entered any of these contests but did in ffxi for the shield and there was no confirmation that it went through, its quite is annoying and kinda tacky for such a large company.

For a company that utterly thrives on confirmation after confirmation after confirmation in their games.....errrr

A simple auto sent reply "Ty for your entry" is all it would take.
