I expect that the reason the contest stipulates original design is to ensure that SE does not encounter copyright issues. The actual original designers are protected in law.

I guess the generation that copy / pastes internet info into term papers doesn't understand the concept.

We were always going to get submissions that were blatent copies of existing hairstyles or previous FF characters, and although I'm not saying I'm in favor of it, it would feel passable if theyve at least hand-drawn or computer-drawn the hairstyle themselves.
Also, why are we not disqualifying the ones that have more than two images/photos? It clearly said in the rules ONE picture of front and ONE picture of back only.

When I read that part of the rules, I interpreted it as 2 image files. So it's not that clear...or I'm just a derp :P

As for the 2 entries that need to be disqualified, that Roxas wig alone leads me to believe that these aren't the true finalists and they just showed some random entries that looked nice at first glance. I'm crossing my fingers.

I don't really think it matters if it's disqualified or not, there's likely to be several dozen, or even possibly hundreds sent in with that exact same hairstyle. That goes for every important Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy character. :x

Personally I think its fine if it gets disqualified and someone drawing the exact same hairstyle gets in and gets voted on instead. The point of it is that ripping images off the internet and submitting it should be disqualified. Sure, it'd be the same hairstyle in the game, but remember the winner still gets a prize for being the one that submitted the one being chosen.

Aw my entry didnt make it. It was awesome tho. A curly hair style. But I guess its my fault because I didnt add the back part to it... and might as well should of thrown in side views too.

Ive been looking for curly/wavy hair in ffxiv, so my vote has to go 2nd row/ from left, 4th one

but the last row on the left looks good too.
