You can also do geri and sometimes I was able to finish my chaos thrust might have been absolute perfect timing or just the stiance since I noticed closer jumps allow for more melee abilities.

I've actually used Jump + SSD to close almost the full range of each combined (targets in A3 move a lot...). Kind of tricky. Nobody noticed![]()
Yeah, you could conceivably teleport through an entire battlefield in 2 seconds by: reverse-EJing, SSD onto a distant mob, Jump on to a different mob, >cancel into DFD on another mob
Tab target tornado, end up DfDing into middle of puddle. rip in pieces. Anyone else annoyed that you can still target the tornado in add phase?

Here's something fun I was toying around with today. As I was working on my guide, I thought back to my hypothesis from a while back that we'd get extra Geirskoguls per minute at a GCD length of 2.30 seconds or shorter. I made this write-up on the topic (page 29 if the link isn't working properly) fleshing out how I thought it would work. Then, for kicks, put on all of my highest SS gear, got a SCH to help out, and tested it. Here's the video I recorded. The 2.30 figure is still just theoretical (I couldn't reach it without those healer buffs), but at some point around that number, we definitely do becoming capable of cranking out extra Geirskoguls, for a total of about 3 1/2 per minute.
Anyway, this is just a quirky hypothetical that I'm playing around with for now, but since we can reach upwards of 900 SS at i210, this may conceivably be the DRG meta at some point, assuming there are plenty of phase transitions for TP replenishment in relevant endgame content later on. On the other hand, it could just be a pointless pipe dream. (I'm kind of leaning towards "pipe dream" on account of the extreme CT clipping and wacky secondary stat distribution...)

Quick question if I'm trying to hit a positional does it calculate it when the ability hits or when I use the ability? Like I use chaos thrust on the rear then move to the side to avoid an aoe or something so that when it hits I'm facing the flank.
Also, if I have a buff up like blood for blood and I use an attack and it falls off before it completes does it apply to the attack or does it not?
It counts as soon as you press the ability. It's the reason why good players are able to hit positions whilst avoiding AoEs. They prefected the timings with their GCD. Also, no. if BFB falls off, it falls off. Though, if you activate a Skill with BFB up, and it falls off before the hit registers on the NPC, that skill is still buffed.
The Magic happens on skill activation.
Thank you Dervy!
