    So, when someone says that they are "selling their house plot" what they REALLY mean is "they are only relinquishing the land plot so if you don't have enough money to re-buy the plot then you are SOL"

    After all the crap I put up with in WoW (trolling, griefing etc) I don't have much faith in people anymore... So, I think I'll just play it safe and wait, however long it takes, for Square to either add more plots or implement the method they discussed in the interviews...

    It will be a LONG wait. Probably years, but maybe by then I'll have a lot of money saved up and can actually afford one.

    I want to change choco color and have a garden. I can wait for as long as it takes. :3

    Not necessarily. I saved up for a few weeks (between 3-4), and ended up paying someone 2M gil to relinquish a small on Exodus (medium server), then bought the lot for 3.6M. You just have to keep an eye on the market.
