There are a few good brd/mch (myself included) but I've seen so many bad ones lately :/ Like, bad to the point of getting through a dungeon the same speed without them. I've ran fractal as mch before and ended up with a brd, it was one of my fastest runs (not the fastest, but top 3), just like I've had nins, drgs and mnks while on smn and the run took way longer. Bad players don't make a good job bad, they're just bad players.

So you got bad players in Duty Finder? That's hardly news. This is why I run Expert in a premade. We routinely clear Neverreap in about 25 minutes. The party composition varies, but I'm almost always on PLD. WHM/BLM/BLM and WHM/BLM/DRG are typical. Sometimes we have BRD and/or MCH in there and it doesn't seem to vary much. Maybe 2-5 minutes longer total? Who cares? It's Expert Roulette, not the friggin Indy 500 or something.
If we have two BLM I sometimes end up being top DPS at the last boss cause tornadoes. xD

Thanks for sharing.

I have to agree with pretty much everyone on here - no matter the job, bad players exist. Saying that its 'the job' itself, or the set up, and not 'the player' is irrational stereotyping and closed minded. I play PLD and MCH, and I've had parties with a BRD/MCH set up where I was tanking or I was the MCH (and I seem to get a lot of compliments from players on my machinist) and they went perfectly fine, with the normal run time of about 20-25 minutes.
I've had bad everything (DPS, Tanks and Healers) at some point but I don't go around pointing fingers and saying everyone who plays those jobs must be awful or saying it was the setup and was doomed to failure. Stop blaming the jobs and start looking at the player.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
Once had a SMN (in ARR) who joined Tam Tara HM and refused to AoE. No Bane, no tri-disaster, no miasma II, no blizz II, no Shadowflare. "I don't AoE". I am pretty sure he just spammed Ruin IMy favorite so far is a party I got in Fractal with a Summoner who refused to use Shadow Flare. I asked him if he was against using the ability, and he told me: "I don't bother in dungeons like this." The 9k HP brand new healer got my commendation, instead, for DPSing and doing really well with bomb cleanses for his first clear.

So much this. I'm not sure why, but anytime I get this situation with two MCH and/or bad dps in a roulette, suddenly the healer has a lazy spell, and just sits there healing, even tho there is no healing needed 90% of the time. It's like dude, you could make this hugely less painful if you would dps. It happens every single time for me. Its very rare that i have both bad dps, and dps that can't dodge. For some reason they know how to dodge, but not dps the things.

I see the problem. You didn't have a warrior
When in doubt, assume sarcasm

Also I thought SE had put into the duty system that there was like specific slots available for ranged dps, and then all other dps or something weird like that. I forget all the details, but I thought it was setup so you couldn't get 2 Ranged unless there were some circumstance like really long wait times or something. Any remember that? Wish I had a link.
