In my case where's the lie? Ahahaha.
No but in all seriousness I agree, and I also agree just telling people they're bad without offering advice is not at all helpful to the spirit of the game or that person. If someone seems to be doing something absurdly wrong, inform them, but also keep in mind things like
-this being a game with server dictated live states means people with slower connections will be NOTABLY lower on any chart and will probably be getting hit by things
-Heavensward has a butt ton of buttons (ahaha...) that could be problematic for people with disabilities. Speaking for myself I have nerve damage in my hands that makes it hard to keybind all the things I'd really have to on most classes. It's doable but it's hard. This is the very first game in a long history of MMOs to give me that problem.
-if you are in leveling content or early endgame maybe the person is just....new. Even if they have a rotation down they may not know the content, which can be essential for some classes (Like Black Mage performs waaaaay better if you've memorized dodge patterns)
Be kind, help folks, love much

I have yet to be called a terrible player in the game. I would think they would only say it to people who are not doing well and not randomly to people doing well 0_-

Eh, you'd be surprised. In my experience people doing poorly are more likely to snap at someone as a way of protecting their ego and deflecting blame. "I didn't stand in anything, you weren't healing" is a classic example of this.
The really good players? The excellent ones? They don't have to trash talk people. They just win.
If you are called bad, you should analyze why you were called bad, and then come to a conclusion whether or not the accusation was correct based off of objective evidence. (tl;dr: Not all criticism is unfounded)
Don't ignore criticism outright - that only breeds ignorance and bad players in denial.

The way I see it, we were all new at some point and this is just a gameif people don’t like the way that I play the game in MY way, then that’s fine but I’m not going to beat myself up about it unless I thought that I sucked at something.
I don’t know if it’s the same on other servers, but 7/10 times on Zodiark, there’ll be someone that always makes a snarky “you suck” type comment in dungeons or raids but there are a few people on there that are really nice and take the time to explain things and offer advice.
At the end of the day, it’s just a game….y’know, for fun and pretend playtimes… people get their knickers bunched up too much over it in my opinion.

There is no reason, under any circumstances to tell someone they are a terrible player. THAT is not criticism. that is being a back side. Giving a player information to better play his or her job and or class, or explaining the boss that the player is having issues with is great and I encourage that criticism. Because that is what that is. In RL 99.9% of people would not speak to people like they do in the game.. The game is full of real breathing people, why people feel they are allowed to speak without any regards to respect is beyond me and childish.

Agreed! Just because we can't see people physically, doesn't mean what is said isn't harmful. I'm a big girl and I can take what's thrown my way, but I also know that there's young children/adults that play who can't. My younger brother (he's 16) stopped playing close to a year ago because someone in his static raid party started throwing DEATH THREATS around to anyone and everyone who didn't meet his standards in fights.(deleted this chunk so I didn't get caught in the post limit) In RL 99.9% of people would not speak to people like they do in the game.. The game is full of real breathing people, why people feel they are allowed to speak without any regards to respect is beyond me and childish.
