The Brume? It was sort of half a joke.... You guys ever gone to the Brume in Ishgard? It's the slums btw if haven't.
And this is also what the lore would allow adventurers to move into if read the story. This is probably why SE said at first there probably wouldn't be any housing in Ishgard until they fit in a reason for it to work in the story.

They're not going to make people move into the slums, they'll just create a new housing area out of nowhere and have people go there.

No, we did. We just know how SE works. Slum or not, we have a hard time imagining SE making it cheap. Again, it's not a lore thing. On the large servers... given the current state of the economy, I'd guess 40m for whatever the small option is.

Do people have 40 mil to blow on a small house just like that? D: And here I am struggling to stay above 1-2 million... I guess that's what happens when you don't grind for gil or craft...
