S-E, why so much hate towards the less popular races D: [MAJOR SPOILERS]

Just a fun thing that I noticed for a long time and seems to repeat itself lol.
Let's keep a tally of important storyline npc's. And those that died, or are important scheming villains. And their races.
(I am admittedly a bit bored and felt like making this joking thread)

Foulques - Elezen - Lancer quest - Dead
Haurchefant - Elezen - MSQ - Dead
Ysaile/Iceheart - Elezen - MSQ - Dead
Estinien - Elezen - MSQ - Turned into Nidhogg
Louisoix - Elezen - 1.x - Dead *new entry lol*

Moenbryda - roegadyn - MSQ - Dead

Villains:
Nael van Darnus - race: unknown but using the elezen animations - Dead (fixed - my bad Daralii)
Teledji Adeledji - lalafell - dead
Rhitahtyn Sas Arvina - Roegadyn - dead
(I'm not going to count the entire heavensward, because...well it's Ishgard, city filled with mostly elezen)

I demand equality! Kill some miqo'tes, midlanders. Or make them into villains! There are too many of them anyway. D:

Jokes aside, I do kinda wish that Moenbryda didn't die. We very rarely get an important female roegadyn npc, besides Merlwyb. From all the races, I think female Roegadyn is the least liked even among S-E.

Nael was portrayed as a female Garlean, not Elezen.

He/she used the elezen skeleton in 1.0, granted.

Also, I don't think they have the heart to kill any Catgirls. Look at Y'shtola, she was gone for all of one Patch before they went like "Save the catgirls!".

Well you can't deny that Elezen play a lot of major roles at least? Both Alphinaud and Urianger play a major role in 2.x and 3.0 respectively, and they're Elezen! Hell, I think other races need more representation, like male Miqo'te & male Au Ra.

We have plenty of Miqo'te as well; South Shroud has two gangs of them if you're looking for villains, and I'm fairly sure the Archer and final Beast Tribe quest involved prominent Miqo'te villains, and G'raha Tia might as well be dead...

He just seemed like a character there to progress the plot and then they got rid of him, like Moenbryda.

Haha, you are right. I did make this thread to also have other npc names be added that I missed. I completely forgot about G'raha, even though I liked the character. But at the same time, he's not dead. Just in isolation for god know's how longl lol.

We're sorely in need of some female lalafell, au ra and miqo'te villains to kill. Perhaps the latter can be presented as something other than a courtesan too for a nice change of pace? There's so few miqo'te that aren't portrayed that way.

Garlean is a nationality, not a race.

Pureblood Garlean's is very much a race. Do you see any Hyur, Miqo'te, Lalafell, Roegadyn, Au Ra, or Elezen with third eyes, white hair? No, because that is what the Garlean race looks like. As a nation, there are non-Garlean, Garlean citizens (more like brainwashed captives) from Ala Mihgo and gods know where else.

On topic, if you're going by story and in game, Elezen are quite popular and many Elezen play major roles in the game, like Louisoix, Alphinaud/Alisaie, Uriangier, Haurchefaunt, Y'sayle, Estienin, Aymeric, etc etc.

If you're going by fans, then yes Elezen seem to be an underdog race most people choose. At the moment it's hard to kill off Midlanders, Miqo'tes, and such simply because there aren't many of them that are in quite a good position in the story, or in a high stance of power in any part of current Eorzea we've seen so far.

And uh... you mention Teledji, he's Lalafell.... they are QUITE popular!
