Because all Lalafell are actually kids.
They just have a really short life span so they never grow up.

OH, Wait a moment. If they make child versions of all the races, and since the main story has to do with seeing past events. Part of the main quest could be back when you were a kid, Like the scenes with Ellone and Laguna in FF8. I would love to see my character as a child. =)
1) I first read this thread as Lalafell Chicken ._.
2) There are no Lalafell Children because this is a dangerous world for young Lalafell so their stunt doubles fill in for everything. It would be terrible if a Lalafell Child were out then BAM that Gramul guy from page one came out of no where ate him/her whole. The other race's children don't have this problem so if they're needed for a cutscene they can safely make an appearance.

:/ Lalafells aren't kids. And they can't have short lifespans when the one in the miner's guild is over 80. Taru's were even shorter than Lalafell, and THEY had child models. So why don't Lalafell have child models? Imagine how insanely tiny and CUTE they would be! *Squee!*

You didn't know? Lalafell turn into Roegadyn once they become adults. So the Lalafells you see now are actually the children.

I actually took the young Lalafell characters so far as implication Lalafell mature fairly quickly, for my part - but you're right, the other races' children having models would be awfully nice.

So, Lalafells don't seem to grow up.
Maybe they are ROBOTS

:/ I disagree. I think they would age as normally as any other race. The child NPCs ought to have child models.
