There are 2 or 3 threads that's sole purpose is to link new codes so that new players can get the bonus' even if they have no one playing they know IRL, so its not surprising.

All the more reason to keep them there and not spam unrelated threads from new players asking for advice.

To OP: You can buy stuff off the Market Board (Auction house equiv) but until you have Retainers you can't sell there. They are unlocked around level 20 Main Story Quest. Which is when you also get to join a Grand Company.

Retainers are actually from a level 17 quest, (though with how fast leveling is in the early levels, it's fairly common to be a bit over-leveled by the time you get to it). Joining a Grand Company is a little later, in one of three possible level 20 quests.

lol fair enough. I just know for all three of my characters I've hit both at about 20; so thats what I tell people.

as to the codes, some new players don't know about it so it will likely stay as lets put them into the new player's post kinda thing. >.>
