I'ts a game. $15/month for hours and hours of fun in a game doesn't really qualify as "losing" money or time to... people who remember they're supposed to be playing a game. The subscription model is absolutely the best consumer-oriented value for the MMO product. Unfortunately, players have become all too willing to give up their rights and obligations as consumers in the name of worshiping a business's apparently holy "right" to profit. It no longer matters to them if something is good for them or not. Our society has become conditioned to accept horrible value and "just be happy with what you got".
