1801 this week with some screw ups, don't think it will be long before a BLM breaks 2k on a2s, if someone has not already.

Still fair bit less than what a smn can do, but 2nd best AoE class is good enough.

I realized recently that where you are in your Enochian cycle (I name each round of fire and ice 'round 1, round 2, round 3' and then you start a new enochian cycle) determines what different rules there are for what procs you can use.

If you're good with timing and the first rotation ends with very little time left in enochian (so there's around 30 seconds until it refreshes) you can use more procs in round 2 and just spend time casting Thunder 3 in Umbral Ice to kill time for Enochian to come back (you can kill even more time if sharp is up and you go Sharp>Fire 3>Fire>Enochian)

I have zero idea if it's better but Thunder is really really really really good now and it's an option so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Maybe I should give a shot for BLM in A2S. I did 2050ish DPS on SMN with a death this week xD

It's not always an issue of skill with timing, since without cooldowns you simply run out of things to do on most 'round 1's.

Well if you do not have 90% or above enochian uptime then it is a timing issue. This can be do to many variables however and not at all suggesting one is not good at blm, but it really is a noticeable difference between a blm that has 100% uptime as opposed to one that could barely get to 90. Again not suggesting this about you just pointing that out. Not all fights but a majority of instances i do have 100% uptime

Maero, I assume this is a reply to my post, but I think you missed the point (to be fair I should have quoted Xenitan). We weren't talking about uptime but about attempting to only have two rounds of fire and ice per enochian, would requires getting the most out of the 30 second timer, which just isn't possible without Convert up (unless you do 10 seconds of dodging for some reason?) because you run out of mana.

Edit: Though I should mention that 2 procs should be enough to push you to the last few seconds if you popped Enochian before you used Fire 3. Here I'm assuming a situation in the middle of a fight, not an opener with Ley Liens up.

You can get 2 procs in the middle of a fight. I'm not saying it's the rotation you do every time, I'm just wondering if it's better to do it when you have the chance.

Yeah there are definitely cases where it could happen, but it's also not totally under your control. Even when Sharpcast is up you won't always have enough mana to use up all 30 seconds of Enochian.

No, it increases attack speed, not spell speed.
