    Please explain how having to perform a mechanic correctly makes it unreasonable. It only punishes you if you don't do it correctly. Unreasonable means that you're ****ed no matter what. Please answer this: what is stopping you from learning a mechanic and performing it correctly?

    You have plenty of time to drop meteors, and honestly, that's nothing compared to the last phase. Would you like that nerfed as well? Would you like T13 nerfed as well when you get there?

    How is not wanting even more content in this game to not be reduced to the difficulty of 24 person tower and 4 person dungeon content "elitism"? T9 is far from "srs business". It just requires that you perform mechanics correctly instead of, I don't know, ignoring them like you so obviously want to?

    Why can't you learn a fight instead of asking for handouts? Go and practice, I promise you that victory will feel that much better for it ^^

    Please don't change the mechanics!!! The new raid is boring as it is and making the old content way too easy doesn't help anyone if there will be new content coming out that is a bit harder. It's not that difficult to learn a few of the mechanics in this game :/

    I think what people are hostile to is the obvious unwillingness to even attempt learning before crying out for a nerf. It's not a matter of elitism. That word is so overused now. Look, most of us don't care how many people clear T9. It doesn't make our personal first clears any more or less special. Hell, I love teaching people that fight because I find it fun. That's just it though - people have to be willing to learn in order for someone to teach it to them.

    There is nothing unreasonable about the fight. Learn how to play the game and you will beat it.

    It is unreasonable because everyone in the entire party is hit with 25000+ damage if any of the meteors explode because of mistaken overlap. Given how easily the golems can be smashed unsynced at 60, it just seems like an absurd punishment for failing team jump rope.

    As for what's stopping me from learning it: the group chose to disband rather than make any effort at coordination, with people making snide accusations of not knowing the fight instead of trying to fix the specific problem point. But this would never have been an issue had they not gated the entire story behind a hardcore raid in the first place, or at least not design this fight around unforgiving team jump rope mechanics.

    That's far from the only one-shot mechanic in the game though, and it's one of the easiest in T9 to deal with. If you look around the outside of the arena, you'll see spokes ("fingers") and little triangles halfway between them. The distance between a spoke and a triangle is the minimum distance the meteors should be placed apart.

    If you're just here to complain about getting one-shotted for failing a mechanic, how about these:

    Aren't most of those you mentioned the signature abilities? Those meteors don't strike me as that same kind of ability, given the timing they occur.

    There you go. I've just saved you having to put forth any effort from this point on, to achieve your desire to see the story.

    The whole i115 gear from Ishgard vendors calling for nerf to this fights difficulty? Well, go to Ishgard for your "reward" then, it's all useless anyway, right... solved another problem for you.

    This fight literally melts after golem phase now, if you can't get past it, then you and whatever team you are causing problems for, don't deserve to see past it... and no, I don't care how that sounds. Nor do I care if it's old content, like that's an excuse, that you want to clear for story reasons.

    Stop being lazy, it takes only a marginal use of coordination and effort, don't want to do that... then go and apply yourself to the remaining 95% of the game meant for YOU.
