Yeah pretty much everyone has every title it seems. They are pretty much trown at you, and most of the ones that arent can be gamed. (like the crafting achievements)
I have yet to see The Fortunate.
10,000 fates completed.
I'm going to shoot for that one while grinding my zodiacs zetas.
Pertaining to the thread, I make up my own long term goals. I'm going to get all Zetas for glamour. After that, relic 3.x will already be implemented and I can continue.
It would be good if SE makes a housing item to display our weapon.
Am I disappointed by the lack of long term goals? Nope. Don't have time to grind my life away.
I think what made the blow even worse for people who played 1.0 that want FFXI/1.0 style content was that it had a lot of the checkboxes ticked for "old style MMO". Sure it had a bad launch but as time went on it got better. Then the direction was change totally from what FFXIV 1.0 was. Myself I just miss the days of FFXI and vanilla WoW (yes, even WoW) that had way more depth than anything does now (except EVE I guess). Everything seems so fleeting and without meaning... even more so post-HW with the lack of a relic and everything basically dumped on you with Alex normal. Luckily I have an awesome FC that keeps me logging in to chat and stuff.
People would love to, too bad that game got the "casual" treatment as well. And to further emphesise it, the game will become the ultimate "casual" experience: A cellphone game... lol. Also as another poster said, it's going to be shut down anyway (until it becomes a cellphone game).
I don't think anyone complained that their ilvl wasn't raising fast enough, but then again I stopped playing MMOs during university when all this "ilvl" business started. Anyway, you can still do long or hard content and still be casual, you just set the pace you want to do it and do stuff that is achievable by you. I think OP was directing that phrase at those who can't be content with doing what they can, and demand content to be changed to cater their restrictions on play style. If SE released a relic and said "This is for people who want a long term goal, this will take a year to complete" you WILL have players complaining that it takes too long, even though that was the outlined point of said activity.I happen to be a "casual" player and I have to say I'm bored with the game and lack of content. Only two dungeons for eso then when I finally get a piece of gear I'm happy until I think of how when I do finally gear up a job the gear is already obsolete.
Ilevel does not need to raise so quickly, they can program the content to whatever ilevel they want. The real problem is the "hardcore" player who feels if the ilevel isn't rising they aren't progressing when all it really takes to progress is new content and beating it, not ilevel.

my problem is that every long term goals will be nerfed after a while. like pony farming. some people worked for month to get all the ponys and now they are thrown to everyone... even coil savage is nerfed with the option to do it at lvl 60. why farming 1 mio MGP for fenrir when they will probably drop the price next patch? relic weapon was nerfed to the ground. not even worth for glamour now...
not that much you can grind for glamour or titles that will stay for more than 6 month :x
Weren't we just complaining about red scrips a week or so ago?
In case YOU didn't notice, I'm aware it's a different game. I'm not one of those, "OOOOHH MAN XI is SOOOO MUCH BETTER" people that cry constantly about the game in comparison to this. I am however, one of those people that knows where the majority of this game's content came from. When you say that we need to go back to XI, you're being ignorant and short-sighted. And when you say that I dislike this game and need to go back to XI, you're being an idiot who has no idea what they are talking about.
I've played the stuffing out of XIV, enough that anyone can easily say that I love this game. I'm allowed to call out when raiders don't like the constantly jumping ilevel and I'm allowed to call out where this game gets its content. It doesn't mean I want to go back to XI (lord knows I don't), it just means that I appreciate what XI succeeded at and this game should use XI for more examples of what to do right. So many people in this game came from XI because it was just the next logical jump. >_> They'll be here long after you decide that you're done with the game.
There are long enough goals in this game for me...we don't need something that is 1-2 years of grind to be fun...do we??? The new Relic Quest will be here soon and we will have a new grind to have fun with.
