I'm not sure if you're aware but XI is going to go into maintenance mode in the near future (i.e. No more major updates)

I'm not saying that their ideas should necessarily be brought into FFXIV, since it's not the same game, but it's only natural that many XI fans are starting to branch out and looking at alternatives.
