If it is not fun, why are you here?
Wow... just wow. You illustrated what is absolute garbage about gaming in 2015. Do it all for ALL THE TITLES! ALL THE MOUNTS! ALL THE GLAMOURS! MUST GET THEM ALL! Because they do......... absolutely nothing. Seriously, oldschool MMO players don't care at all about titles and cosmetics. That is for the "Casuals" that have grown up with those as their rewards.kill 5.000 people in pvp for the "hand of mercy" title
get all jobs to 60
get all luminary tools
get all TT cards
get a rank 20 choco
earn 10.000.000 gil by doing leves for the "honest gillionaire" title
max a racing chocobo
catch all fish
farm 3.000 commendations for the pope chocobo
etc etc
there are countless things in this game which are endless time consuming and often reward you with several titles etc
Then go back to the old school mmo's and leave us "casuals" alone?Wow... Seriously for all you people think FFXI is a godsend.
GO BACK TO THERE.
And yet we get thread after thread how XI is sooooo much better.Hardcore raiders are not the people who believe that they need higher and higher ilevels to feel like they are progressing. Hardcore raiders prefer content that gets harder and harder and never gets easier. They like gear that is reflective of their challenges but saying that a hardcore raider almost prefers vertical isn't true.
I'm a hardcore raider who enjoys challenges and does NOT enjoy the constantly rising ilevels. As soon as you get something, it gets outdated. Why bother with the current challenge when the next challenge comes out in 2 months and with gear that will make the current one obsolete?
Hardcore raiders don't like that. No one really does.
And XI was a godsend for what it was good at. This game benefited from all the successes that XI had and all its character models and how some of these spells/classes even work. Seriously, I'm always baffled about how people say that people who like XI should just leave XIV when this game basically borrows everything from XI. And I'm not just talking names since FF uses the same names for a lot of things. I'm talking XI specific stuff including its models.
Also, who cares it borrowed stuff from XI?
It is a different game, in case you didn't notice.
If you dislike this game so much, go back and you do us and you a pleasure.

As much as I would like for something like that to happen here I don't belive it will ever happen. Now the generations want either stuff now or want everything so they ask for nerf. Relic weapon was an awsome step when introduced in 1.0, then 2.0 came and is was a joke. Just see all the post about FATE atma and such and you will see all the complains that they been x time and no atma drop whine. Right now just have to wait and see what 3.0 relic will be like.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

The real problem is the "hardcore" player who feels if the ilevel isn't rising they aren't progressing when all it really takes to progress is new content and beating it, not ilevel.

At least those are more fun than grinding mobs for hours to get a drop that has a .02% chance of dropping. Been there, done that, never again.Wow... just wow. Ok fine, some titles are worth it. I'll admit I liked my Balistar titles. But! You had to claim and Kill a rare god spawn for those which is way better than grind 3000 dungeons with a chat macro saying please commend me. Any idiot can do that with enough time.i dunno, i played 11 since NA release and i remember enjoying and flaunting my titles for being one of the NA servers first Vrtra Vanquisher, Tiamat & Jorm

What Diorite? You didn't even have to do Sky gods, don't try and make it sound like that was the be all end all of FFXI when it wasn't even a fraction of the endgame. I'd rather grind mobs for hours to get something to spawn a boss fight that had a chance to drop something I would use for years than grind the same raid for 2 years for things I'd drop on the ground 3 months later. And yes Alex is the same raid as coils, nothing has changed but the scenery and even that is for the worse.

Difference from the FFXI titles and titles in this game is that FFXI ones where actually more meaningful than here. I see people with the Nidhogg Slayer title running around in FFXIV and I just 'meh'.i dunno, i played 11 since NA release and i remember enjoying and flaunting my titles for being one of the NA servers first Vrtra Vanquisher, Tiamat & Jorm

I'm not sure if you're aware but XI is going to go into maintenance mode in the near future (i.e. No more major updates)

I'm not saying that their ideas should necessarily be brought into FFXIV, since it's not the same game, but it's only natural that many XI fans are starting to branch out and looking at alternatives.
