    Warden's one-ilm punch. Sounds good on paper, isn't particularly useful in practice. Even if you gave it something like a 200 potency heal upon consumption of the buff, it would still be "eh" and not really worth a GCD considering the game's current meta is "dps even if you aren't a redbox".

    Gotta agree, it needs a change that helps in a raid scenario, lest it fall into the One-Ilm Punch category where it will either be godly so they won't tune content for it, or useless, which they will tune content for. A 30m duration on Warden's would be a nice band-aid fix but that'd either be broken in the scenario where it works (prebuff entire party!) or just relegated to Pacification duty pre-fight and during downtime - nice for WAR but not exactly a flattering skill, and we have Selene's cleanse all skill for some of those anyway.

    Something like it becoming a Goad that can only be used mid-fight (like if say you have forced fight downtime and want to help the tanks out but don't need to sing Paeon otherwise), or, screw it, a Clemency level heal you can only do a few times a fight, no MP cost but a 60s/120s CD, that'd be an actual option for raiding even if in general something you don't want to do, that'd be better than what we have.

    You contradict yourself in the same line. How is it fantastic if it does not work on anything?
    1) ...because it's a chimera and you're moving out just as much as you're moving in.

    2) ...because the ability doesn't need to change, the top-level content does. Hardly a contradiction. The next set of raids could be status-heavy, and bam, no more complaints about paeon. That's what I was trying to say.

    [ I'd almost love to see it altered slightly so that it does the same as now, except it also blocks incoming damage to the target. Something we can pop for the fights where we know a big massive hit is about to come and hit the tank for example.

    Think.. the Original ARR intro movie, where the warrior gets hurt by incoming bullets and the bard leaps forward, casting a temporary 'shield' over him while the mage heals him. This is what I thought the skill would be...

    You can see that the shield effect does not last long, just long enough to get the heal in and for the paladin to get in position.

    that bard spell is protect , in FFXIV 1.0 bards were able to crossclass conjurer spells :P
