If it has already been fixed, they need to rethink again, and provide a way better solution, because it sill looks really bad.

Translation: People aren't bitching as much as they did initially, so the problem has resolved itself. From a recent interview. Yoshida thinks we are ok with darkside...
JPGames.de: The Dark Knight ability „Darkside“ features red light floating around the character which is irritating to some players. Are there plans for allowing players to manually adjust the effect?
NY: It was fixed two emergency maintenances before, it should be fixed. (Naoki Yoshida goes to a TV screen where the effect is displayed and points at it.) When it was first implemented, the aura was really strong and people could not see through it. Now that we reduced it, the overall feedback settled down and players are fine with the color. Probably your friends
Except it hasn't fixed it, and people are still pissed of by it, but the message we have received loud and clear is that nothing will be done, so why bother complaining about it. Yoshi's interview completely reinforces that view.

There is no way a change has been made to the aura.
It looks exactly as annoying as it's always has. And every time I see it it's just more irritating.
If people shut up about it, they for sure won't do anything. People have stopped complaining a very small amount and Yoshida is already claiming players are content with the so called changes.
If anything, that means people should step up their complaints. Because if they stop at all, Yoshida will notice and declare the problem fixed.

It is the same.. =(
Forums are made for opinions. This is still a huge issue. The reason people have stopped is because they claimed to look into the issue. However I think something that causes great stress/eyesight problems should be removed or changed. It looks absolutely obnoxious and you can't even turn it off.If people shut up about it, they for sure won't do anything. Are we sure about the that interview and its translation? Because some of it looks really weird. According to this interview which is translated from German Yoshi said they toned it down and by this he means the colour of the effect as I got it. The question is why this is not mentioned in any patch note or we don't have an official response here in the forums that they fixed it? Looks weird. Personally I have no problem with this skill at all. I don't find it irritating at all.
It's irritating as hell. They need to make it tick down MP out of combat so it falls off after a minute or two.

Ok? Do you have eye problems? Do you have mental problems? I am glad you stated your opinion however a lot of people have these issues in games. I myself have eye problems and red is one of the colors I see better then most. So I see this aura going all over and filling HALF THE SCREEN.Are we sure about the that interview and its translation? It hides AOEs and makes fights harder on me. I can't turn it off by turning off particle effects. I can do NOTHING to get rid of it. Unlike other classes.
The ability if you look at it long enough can cause eye strain. Its horrible for an MMO.

It does tick down out of combat. Mana regen from being OOC is higher than the ticks, though, and it's not like they increase its mana consumption rate. It would be falling off constantly in battle.
