The Moonfire Faire Is A Bust

My only complaint is you have to be level 30. I'm leveling an alt up to go to the Faire, since my main's already been through it.

Why, you might ask?

Because I want to see a female Roegadyn in summer gear. Like, all the time. Not just in short bursts. Thank goodness they sped up leveling with HW, I should be level 30 by the end of the week!

Personally I prefer "server must complete x" type of events. I haven't been playing XIV very long but I thought overall it was a little underwhelming. I was able to get the 118 fish I needed to get all the rewards in ~hour and I didn't interact with anyone during any of it.

Only on MMO forums will people complain about a completely free seasonal event (monthly sub not counted).

They could have just given us the exact same event from last year, like WoW always does.

Personally I would have preferred if they did just that. The writing for this event feels rushed and the daily quests/FATEs for this seasonal event feels extremely boring. People like yourself really need to stop shutting down anyone that complains about something that is free because free is no excuse for lack of trying. The devs are always listening to criticisms and it is those things that will shape the game to be better.

Oh, and FYI, this event isn't technically "free" since you need to pay a subscription to even get access to the event

Not only that, but now you have to be at a minimum of Level 30 instead of Level 15.

Really freaking frustrated all my alts can't get the solid-colored swimsuit because of this. Dunno what went through their heads bumping a world event to level 30 requirement. Bet SE expects me to buy it on the cash shop next year. Ugh.

Sorry, just because you don't count the monthly sub, doesn't mean it's not a valid point. We pay our monthly fees for future content, part of that content is seasonal events, of SE's own choice. They decided to have a 5-10 minute event, while removing a quest/reward from a year ago and charging us extra for said reward.

Players have every right to be upset over this, regardless of if you or anyone else gives two shits.

Of course it could be better, but I really like this kind of events on MMOs.

And I have a reason for going in Costa del Sol, so when I'm not in the beach in RL I'm on the beach in game!

It was def. rushed... Hw kicked the devs and Yoshi even stated that they reworking their work schedule
And I agree this is not free content - fff14 is pay 2 play.
