OH one more point I would like to make:
When people try to use the argument of "the heavy armor is too heavy for a mage without physical training"
Not when glamour is just the image of the armor over your robes, not the actual physical armor

Well i can already look like a mage as a drk. And everyone can look like a crafter, or a beachgoer.
Silly already went out the door with those jester caps.
SE's reasoning was garbage the minute they said it. So i would welcome a little more freedom with the glamour choices.
Ishgard certainly has no problem decking their conjurers in haubergeons and the like.
Papalymo wear dated gear. Dated gear is "all classes".I think AF gear should stay restricted.
Everything else should be free to glamour
ESPECIALLY when NPCs can wear gear they shouldnt be able to as their class.
Ex) Papalymo with armor gloves, the pirate/bandit leader in the AST story wearing the infantry skirt while they are an ACN
Every gear before the big "recipe and gear revamp" in 1.20 (?) was all classes. Only that only specific classes got 100% of the stats on them.

Yeah but even then you see a ton of npcs wearing non-dated gear that they shouldnt be able to wear as their class
I think everyone here understands how the glamour system currently works. The topic of this thread, though, isn't about how it currently works. It's asking about a requested change to how it works and whether people would prefer it to work differently. Currently, you're right. We cannot glamour gear that our current job cannot wear. But the discussion is about whether or not we should be able to if the rules were going to be changed.
Why do you think the rule should stay as it is? Earlier you stated that "It takes a bit of common sense to understand why wearing different jobs gear when you can't wear it normally, makes no sense." Yet now when it's pointed out how little sense some of the restrictions make (especially on gear that's nothing but a palette-swap away from stuff you can wear), you're instead saying that it's just the way it works regardless of "sense". So which is it? Or were all your posts about how a change wouldn't make sense really intended to just point out what the current system is?
Maybe I would give MCH a shot if I could glamour it with heavy armor like many of the Final Fantasy game Infantry mobs do :/
Apparently not, If people understood how it works, they wouldn't be here asking why their war cannot equip ninja gear. as it was said, many times already, they cannot equip the gear normally, so it can't be glamoured, so all the defenders rushed in with "why can we wear swimsuits, chocobo oufits etc etc, but not job specfic gear?"I think everyone here understands how the glamour system currently works. Because you can wear swimsuits etc on any job. thus you can glamour it, the only "argument" here is simply people crying that they cant wear job restricted armor. but want to. Which will never happen. which is why i said it takes common sense, to know that something like this will never happen. and this topic wouldn't still be going with "waaa why cant i wear everything!"
So i do not think everyone understands how it works, or rather, they do NOT want it to work like that, unless you are admitting this topic is more or less "i want it, damn lore. reasoning, logic" My only mistake is not realizing how complaint topics works, that they are for complaining, and wasted posts.
There, now off i go. Back to your wishes and dreams.
I'll bold it, maybe you'll get it to sink in:Apparently not, If people understood how it works, they wouldn't be here asking why their war cannot equip ninja gear. as it was said, many times already, they cannot equip the gear normally, so it can't be glamoured, so all the defenders rushed in with "why can we wear swimsuits, chocobo oufits etc etc, but not job specfic gear?"

We understand how the current glamour system works, this thread however is discussing changing the current glamour system to allow players, yourself included, to have more options in the appearance of their characters.
If you don't get it by now, yer either an idiot, a troll, or deliberately obtuse. Pick one.
