Why did you even play in the first place lolI find it rather interesting that people who are not bored tell folks that ARE bored of the game to do things they find boring.
Okay listen, some people find no fun in gathering, crafting & farming the mats required for them... And also not everyone like vanity gear or playing silly mini games at the golden saucer.. Lastly some people dont like leveling multiple jobs for the sake of "leveling a new job" ..
"Did you beat A4?" some people dont have time to join hardcore FC's that require you to dedicate 20-30 hours a week for raiding.. so no?
I agree with the original poster, 14 is boring. I've actually played since 1.x and 2.0...
As of last week i was bored to the point i cancelled my autopay, in a month my sub will be up and i doubt ill come back.
Exactly.....the boredom comes, mostly, from people that play so to speak 24h/24H a day and concentrate their efforts only on one particular aspect of the game without enlarging the Spectrum, not even playing the whole content just enlarging it. Obviously, after a short while, it gets boring. Alternating what you do, helps keeping the motivation going. Now if you dont like 95% of the content and only keep it to the 5 % you will get bored fast. If you are at this stage, maybe you should change game, as visibly the proportion of enjoyable content vs not enjoyable to you is wayy out of proportion.
I dont know how people can get bored...ohh wait they all rush rush rush and then..poof nothing left to do in their eyes..

If you're bored, just find something else to do.
SE has been good so far about letting people catch up if they stop for whatever reason.
I leveled 2 jobs and my DoH/DoL, I do my expert roulette daily to cap eso, get alex drops weekly and cap my red scripts weekly, my static isn't up to savage yet and I haven't cleared the new ex primals, but yes I'm bored as well. A patch every 3 months or so and I'm busy for a month and wait around doing not much for 2 months. I wish there were more fc wide events that can be done in the vein of sky/sea/dynamis/salvage, etc. then I would have no complaints about enough content. /cheers
I don't get how can people get bored at all.
So far I got smn to full ilvl190 .still need to clear AS. need to get all my classes to 60 same for crafting ones. Missing 2 master books. Still need to get my folklore books , still need to do all my red scrip gear for hand and land. There's a few more bits to do and 3.1 round the corner means I need to hurry up cause relic is coming.
There's SO much to do , so I don't get how can people get bored with colossal amount of stuff to do!?
I'm enjoying myself so far and I like a challenge.

crafting
farming mats (from monsters?)
vanity gear
mini games at golden saucer
leveling multiple jobs
raiding
That's a lot of things to overlook... I am very curious to know what made people play this game in the first place, if the listed things are not something they find worth doing. Just doing the story once, seeing the dungeons and gearing up one job? Hey, don't get me wrong. Everyone is welcome here whatever their reasons are, but it's a bit weird to expect a game as vast as this to keep pumping out enough of some specific content to keep people occupied non-stop doing just that one thing.
Wavytiger, you mentioned you haven't done the new ex trials yet. Why not try to beat them with your static? It's something to do with the fc. Even if they have all done it before, they would probably be happy to do it again so you get your achievement. Afterwards, you could help some newcomers/crafters in your fc get them done as well.![]()

bored?
QUICK! We better put caps on something else so he doesn't unsub!
1) nothing to say
2) the reason I still login, savage is really fun and I love to do it
3) not everyone want to waste time levelling jobs they would never play, I personally enjoy to play only SCH so I have no reasons for level other jobs. Plus 4 men dungeons are really boring, so levelling to me don't looks so appealing (no, Fate levelling is not contemplating. I play because I like to keep my mind busy, not for turn off my brain and spam the faster AoE for hours)
4) I think this involves how much time you want to spend in crafting, I took every master book I wanted because this system is pretty easy (and I'm not saying I don't like it, I prefer to change items for tokens instead hoping in the RNG)
5) grind
6) worst grind
Now, I personally login just for my boring daily expert roulette and for doing savage with my static (which I really enjoy to do).
I do, in one day, my 450 red crafting scrip and that's all.
There's so few thing to do, so I don't get how can people not get bored with this colossal lack of stuff to do.
Who is right? No one, of course, because the grade of enjoyment is really personal.
Someone don't like to do Savages and prefer do easy things, I don't like to level new classes or grind things, etcetera.
Now I will not refer to your messagge, but it's a general thing: guys if people complain that they're bored don't take it so personal, Square Enix is not you wife/husband and the game is not your child.
How you say ''meh, it's pointless to complain go to play something else'' I feel a lot more useless to stop every attempt to discuss why something for someone isn't working properly.
Btw, for saying what this game seriously lacks to my personal PoV: midcore contents, even without a reward.
I just want to do exciting things even if I'm in a light party, not just when I login for doing Savages (which, I'm not tired to say, are great and totally fun).
And possibly I don't want to grind things because Square Enix is scared about people who rush contents. If they want to rush something let them rush and don't let everyone else grind.
So yeah, I admit that at the moment if I'm not in raid I'm bored![]()
Elisewin,
I would agree with you on the *go to play something else* story if it wasnt really the only viable solution for someone that comes on the board and say he is bored. It is clear that the game for someone bored lacks what he is looking for, only HE can say what he is looking for, nobody else, if it feels boring is not for you anymore or not presently, therefore the logical answer is, find somethng else that makes you happy, or happier. Iit is genuiely telling someone that rather then be unhappy, as you say he is not marrieD with the game, but complaining about bored, makes it sound as if it was THE only game available and that HE had to play that one only, it could find something more enjoyable. Idont see how this can be rude.
People also gave some suggestions, to change what they do, their routine, attempt something else, invent something that can be made within the game wiht a bunch of friends, I dont knwo something..but complaining wont make the boredom go away..nor does it exist a solution that will satisfy everybody..
Boredom to someone may not be the same boredom as another...
you want, someonewhat, a tailor made game for you that suits your need, but a game is a wide range, some will suit a category and some will suit another catory, how each is handling what they dont really like, is up to them, and coming here to complain how boring it is..is well silly. because it wont change anything at all
