Adding Legacy Tattoo to Mog Station

The legacy peeps can keep their tatoo's even if they cover it up and /hide it or whatever >.< BUT....SE need to look into giving us actual tatoo's not linked to gear (think arachne shirt) I want some flowers up my arms up something lol

Legacy characters should keep their tattoos and not be shared by any new character. I was not a legacy player, but I know the feelings cuz of other mmo I very fond. It was my first mmo and I was one of those players that joined and stayed playing since the beginning.

What is a great idea is that SE could create other type of tattoos to have more aesthetic options. To those ppl from the rp community, if u want the legacy tattoo and u were not here, u should just pretend or use that gear with tattoo and pretend that is the mark or the chosen. Just because u didn't have, it doesnt mean u can rightfully claim it. It was like a gift from SE given yo their loyal players. You can't asked them to give you a gift like that cuz it lost its meaning.

They had so much time to get Legacy status.

It was announced, explained, gave at least 6 months to get it, and sent out at least 3 e-mails that I was aware of.

They even posted numerous warnings saying time was running out.

Yep, all you literally had to do was make a character during 1.0, you did not have to buy a sub or anything. it literally only means "I made this character between this time frame", which is kind of... not that meaningful.
As I had said earlier, I unfortunately did not know 1.0 existed. I would really like the chance to play a character that had fought in Carteneau, since that storyline is awesome.

Given the state of the servers, and the restrictions placed upon them, it seems SE could still use financial help to make the game better.
I do not care about the reduced sub or anything else, I just want the carteneau tattoo.

Afaik this is not so. I was there for v.1.0 and my current character is technically still one and the same from that time. I don't have the legacy tattoo or anything to show for it aside from a couple of silly screenshots of my old character. I remember there being a campaign you had to participate in to get this tattoo and to qualify as legacy.

I checked with my friend that got 1.0 at the same time. His 1.0 character has a tattoo, but he never paid a sub. He probably logged in for free to check things out, but is not a legacy account. So the tattoo couldn't have been a legacy account entitlement. It might have meant that the character was logged in during a specific time, but doesn't mean you paid anything. He also pays the regular sub rate now, not the legacy rate.

So- while the legacy perks might indicate support... the tattoo doesn't. It's just a birthmark of sorts. You can have it without having paid them a dime after buying the game.

Exactly, it literally only means that you poked 1.0 at a certain time. It does not show significant achievement other than "hey I knew about the game and logged on!"

Why do I not deserve it, because I did not know about the game during 1.0? That hardly seems fair. I am willing to dish out money for it now, and have spent quite a lot of time and effort on a game that I really like.
There are people that have/are eligible for it who never really even had interest in FFXIV 1.0 or 2.0, and probably never even subbed to either. I would really like to have my character be one from the Carteneau battle, it is a much more interesting story.
