This part made me actually laugh out loud... and is the fundamental misunderstanding that would render the idea pointless and moot. Willing to spend money =/= "cream of the crop" or even respectable.

You would get people who would pay for the sole purpose of trolling. And they wouldn't be your common troll... no, they'd be the sneaky trolls who don't technically break any rules as to avoid punishment.

I don't think this will be very good for bringing new players to the game. Fresh newbies who just bought the game wouldn't be able to play with their premium server friends unless they shell out another $50 for a game they aren't emotionally invested in yet.

    ...not going to fly.

I would only be willing to pay for something like this if it were a free to play game. Otherwise, no.

Also, I'm agreeing with the person above who objected to the "cream of the crop" statement. Players who would pay money for something like this in a subscription mmo are not the "cream of the crop". They are the type of player who would throw money at the situation to get what they want. Clear buyers, Gil buyers, the type of players who practically begged for a cash shop before we got one. Etc. just because they're willing to pay for premium services in a p2p mmo doesn't make them "premium" players. A fair amount of them would be the part of the gimme gimme crowd that just happened to have more money than they know what to do with.

Gaining acceptance into a top tier school like Harvard, Yale, or Princeton has little to do with how much one's parents are willing to pay. It has largely to do w/ one's academic and scholastic achievements, values, and desire to succeed. You can't buy your way to success in the world. And while you might be able to buy some success in the game, you can buy notoriety as a "premier" and respected player. That must be earned.

The best players in the game are not the ones w/ the most expensive and powerful PCs. It's fairly wide spread across PC users, PS4 and even PS3 players. Why would you think the cost of the game would be any different?

No and heck no! You're asking people to pay $50, on top of their subscription fees, for a "more involved" GM team (who aren't paid to be playing with players mind you) and to keep the "original" difficulty of dungeons and raids that people would probably ask for a nerf anyway, along with being stuck with only people who paid for this server.

Sorry, sweetie, but this idea is terrible. Money doesn't fix everything, despite what movies and TV shows tell you. Money can't fix the lack of skill in other players. Money won't fix people's attitudes towards others. Throwing more money at something won't always make that something better *coughkickstartercough*.
