Dragons strike me as not caring for the spoken races. Since the 7 great dragons all survived through Umbral Eras (before getting killed by mortals) I'd imagine they "prepared themselves" either hibernation, dragon magic, etc. Most likely dragon magic due to Nidhogg, with one (borrowed) eye, created some type of magical barrier in the Aery, which would protect him and his brood if it weren't for Cid. So I'd imagine most surviving Great Dragons at the time cast a barrier to protect?

Eitherway, I'm sure they were giddy at the idea they were killing each other in droves and may have known that Asciens were involved, anyway

What the hells were dragons doing for most of history? It's important to think about the fact Nidhogg had both eyes and there were at least 3 celestial wyrms in Eorzea at this time. The overall motivations of the Dravanians really are beyond our mortal ken. We don't have a lot of information about Hydaelyn's history, but we only hear of dragons in 2 specific time periods: Allag and current day (starting ~1000 years ago). Compare that to the Five Races or even Moogles...

We don't know there were 3 Celestial wyrms in Eorzea until the Pre Dragonsong war period. I think the situation with Meracydia and the Allag seems really odd if the Dravanians were there the whole time. I mean they went out to conquer them, to experiment on dragons.... which makes no sense if there were a whole bunch just sitting in the middle of their empire.

I believe the Dravanians didn't show up at least until the end of the Allagan Empire and possibly as late at the sixth Umbral era.

Wrong game. Not much has been said about the XIV Warring Triad. While they draw inspiration from VI, they're not quite the same. All we know about the XIV Warring Triad is they're the result of Allagan research on Eikons

Unfortunately for this theory, it turned out those statues weren't Toberries after all.

I think it's both. They're the result of summoning research, but they were then trapped... As part of research on binding Eikons. I think it's mentioned they were summoned from another realm in a manner different from primals.

Well, it's stated Eikons are from another world, or not of this world, or something to that effect. It's never mentioned how they got here, whether it be by their own will, the will of the place they started at, or of someone's will on Hydaelyn.

Nobody lived there 1500 years ago aside from maybe Hellsguard. Not their problem.
