Make all the offhands first as they are the biggest available upgrade and only costs 3 red scrips each. For those asking what's the point of all this and not bothering because there's nothing worthwhile now... the point is to futureproof yourself for the new stuff that will come out. While everyone else plays catch-up, the crafter who prepared in advance will be making all the gil. Also, the higher your stats, the more confident you'll be in doing 2star jobs for everyone else who's willing to pay for a top-tier crafter to do the job.

The only caveat in all of this, is waiting to see what happens with Favors, but I get the feeling it won't be changing very much.

My plan is to get all the offhands 1st for a little more guarantee to craft the 60 **s (Its BiS right?) then store a healthy supply of mats for the next 'wave' of craftables (hopefully more marketable) that arent for DoH.

I'm suspicious of being able to get HQ Ooids etc. and I dont think its meant to be downgraded in the long run of things.

The way my server economy works (Masamune), nobody is buying the Ooids or Roundstones etc at 100-150k a pop. I dont think many feel its even worth investing in the future atm due to lack of faith and sheer grind.

That only applies if there are recipes worth making that require the new gear, though. Right now, we have no idea if that will be the case. If they maintain the current paradigm, it probably won't be worth the investment at all. We can hope that they change course but it's really hard to say at this point that they will.
