Why should I be forced to read/see what another player has to say when I don't care? I filter shout for the most part (due to the spam.. and just never put it back.)
I love appeals to job based authority that clearly show the person is probably making shit up, and you can believe me because I'm the Pope.
To be honest, a lot of the people who play this could care less about how easy it is to level.
I mean, i mainly play for the Raids, which i have to level grind for so I'm thankful.
Plus, getting rid of chat? No thanks. My anxiety would spike if i had to use a mic on the regular,
especially during certain dungeons and raids constantly being yelled mechanics.
The jobs seem fine to me, I've encountered no issues with MAC, AST, or DRK. Although i can see some confusion with AST.
Funny thing is DRK is tank pretty much in EVERY FF except for FF11 iirc
I tried to follow his arguments but... yeah... I don't think FF14 is the game for him (Or his wife)
As someone who has speech issues and major social anxiety, I can relate to you there
I communicate much better with text and it lessens my anxiety vs talking with my voice. The voice only suggestion thing would make me leave this game immediately if it were to be implemented.

RMTers usually stick in a corner and out of public areas. I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN RMTer in person before. They are usually sending me tells. Tells would not appear that way. Only open chat would have bubbles above whoever said them's heads.
I can usually find at least one at a city state's aetheryte plaza.
