First details for second Final Fantasy XIV expansion already decided

I feel comfident we will head to East to free Ala Mhigo from the Empire. I suspect lots of drama will happen there and lots of blood will be spilled. I think we will say for sure in the next 2 patches of 3.XX. I doubt we will go to new continet just yet.

Pretty sure they said they weren't going to do viera because we already have a human with animal ears race(Miqo'te).

Here's where I think future x-pacs will go:
4.0 - Pagl'than, O'Ghomoro, Xelphatol, Gyr Abania (Ala Mhigo being here) and hopefully the remaining 1.0 areas that haven't been put back in the game yet.
5.0 - South-western Othard
6.0 - Eastern Othard (Doma being here)
7.0 - North-western Othard
8.0 - 10.0 - Ilsabard (With us defeating the Empire)
If the game is still getting updates beyond that, then:
11.0 - Meracydia
12.0+ - New World
Not sure where Thavnair and Sharlayan would fit in though...

I think that plan you have may take far too long to release if they follow a 1.5 year per expansion plan.

basic life span of a MMO would normally be around 10 years or less.

Unless the plan is to follow a story about the war against the Garlean Empire each expansion liberating each region from their control.

On topic:

With how the storyline is going we may go into Ala Mhigo area for 4.0 considering the push on Ala Mhigo in the Main Storyline since 2.X era.

With the Garlean Empire almost ready for war once again, once they fix their new flagship, I'm guessing we may head to Garlean Empire in 5.0 since the only thing standing in the Alliance way of a direct assault on Garlean Empire is Ala Mhigo. Making 5.0 the expanions that end the Garlean Threat on Eorzea which may give the Alliance room to start exploring other continents since their resources has been mostly spent on defending Eorzea from the Garlean Empire currently.

From current Lore, Eorzea appears to be the only Continent left in the world not under Garlean Empire control so entering other continents would be basically suicide. I've considered the possibilty of other continent before Garlean Empire defeat but with the lore pushing on how they control almost the enitre world it would be impossible to expanding into those areas without turning the story into a secret miltary operation to liberate the continent from the Garlean Empire.

I would like those, that is nothing similar to Mi'qote or Viera. Most races are humanoid like atm even if the lore says otherwise.

Also dunno if anyone notice, the only way to go to Ilsabard by foot ( the continent where the capital of the Garlean Empire is and Aldenard, aka Eorzea, 's neighborhood ) is going through Ala Mhigo.
