They ARE obtainable by playing the game. It's called "when they're released during the event". It's not SE's fault that I missed the event when it's released and it sure as hell wouldn't be fair to players like you who have played through the event and got it fairly by paying less than 100 gil to get everything.

Why would it be unfair to make a event from a YEAR ago have atainable items? It was exclusive for that year.

by your logic it's also "unfair" to re-release it into the cash shop as players who didn't do they event can still get the gear but instead of it being in the game it's with their wallets. Personally I think the Gold Saucer would be the perfect place to put these items and make them get cheaper every year the event cycles. Christ then MGP would have more use than having a 0.01% chance to get a good Tripple Triad card. I wouldn't even be oposed to putting these things in the cash shop as long as a viable ingame alternative is available.

I can't see one other than blind faith in the direction the cash flow is put.

Cash shop is fine but make that stuff attainable ingame so your not removing content from the game, your using the content to give the game more content rather than segregating it. your adding value to the players subscription instead of devaluing by removing content from the game to sell peicemeal.

SE's prices for their shop are very reasonable anyway. No one is ripping you off. It's a dance for Christ's sake. Purely cosmetic and in no way prevents you from obtaining it normal way once per year when the event occurs.

Please find something meaningful to spend your time crusading over.

i'm 100% okay with it. I missed the event so seeing it available for those who want the emote for a little fee is perfectly fine, SE isn't forcing anyone to buy it and i'll continue being okay with it aslong as they don't step over the line from optional items to pay2win.

I seriously don't understand how people can defend the removal of content, which you paid for with that subscription fee, and placed in the cash shop where you are charged again for the rewards of the content. Seriously? I don't care if it's a once a year quest that takes 5 minutes to complete, it's content in the game that's been removed to charge you more money for it.

Why would you defend this? Why wouldn't you rather SE place that Quest NPC off to the side of the current seasonal NPC's, giving us more content(quests) to enjoy during the seasonal festivities? Already completed that quest and got the emote? Great! Ignore that NPC and move on to the others, or swap to a lowbie class/job and get free exp for doing an easy quest.

But noooooooooooooooo, instead of spending 5 minutes playing the game you pay a monthly fee to even play in the first place, you'd rather spend a couple bucks extra outside the game.

And get your damn usage of "need" right. You do not "need" anything in the shop to progress and continue playing. You "want" it - and if you want it - pay for it. People like me who paid since 2.0 release put in a total of at least 264€ in this. With my additional retainer you can make that 296€ so far. If you don't have this because it was at an event a year ago where you weren't around (yet) and want it now, go pay your 1€. I paid 6,49€ for the two weeks the event was live and i got all outfits. Ofc thats cheaper then now buying it all but:

god damn why can't you just be happy that its not the same stupid event every year with just additional rewards everytime. Or happy that you actually can get it now (if you want it) unlike many minions/outfits from past/crossover events.

If it's just 2$'s, why does SE even care? They make millions each month from our subs alone. What's just 2 dollars to the millions they make anyways? Still slimy practice IMO.

Nobody is saying we need these items. Many are saying that it's more benificial to the consumer if we had in game options to attain the items we have payed to develop for the game.

Of course SE is trying to make money that doesn't make it Allright for them to do. This generation of dlc and piece meal spoonfeeding of content has beaten people numb and now they just shrug their shoulders and admit defeat and cough up the cash because it feels like it costs nothing to them.

SE is a business and they will take every chance they can get away with to nickle and dime us. That doesn't mean we should let them, because the less we resist the more they will be willing to take.

This is not news. It's been going on for almost a year , any rewards missed from the previous event can be purchased from the cash shop .
