First details for second Final Fantasy XIV expansion already decided

It sounds like they have 3.X era Main Scenario Quests already finished now.

It is a bit nice knowing 4.0 storyline is currently being developed now.

I did kind of expect it to take another 1.5 years for the 4.0 expansion considering they need time to release the 3.X contents which sounds like it may be another X.5 updates.

We need better open world content for end game by this I mean discipline of war and magic.

And not these short separate instance raids.

And what ideas do you have? Just wondering. Take into account the dramafest and the zergfest that hunts became. which was open world content.

I will be so disappointed if they introduce swimming only to move at 50% of normal speed. God I hate swimming in games. But that's just me

Unless you're a fish, that seems a reasonable speed for an adventurer in their everyday dress. I'd imagine tanks would be overjoyed at that kind of swim speed given how heavy tank armor looks.

My bet is the story being about liberating Ala Mhigo from the empire.

Maybe some areas to the east like Doma too... Samurai has to be a given, so it'd give them a reason to add more eastern-themed jobs!
