I get a few tanks in Neverreap who think it's a good idea to tank all the bees at the same time...

Exactly! I encountered one tank while playing as Dps who said that he wouldn't use flash because it's "Boring". I mean seriously, whats your job?!

Here's a fun little one.
Now I normally play a healer and I started this game playing a WHM so I've found myself becoming extra watchful of what my healers are doing. I've been trying to get into larger pulls now that I'm reaching level 50 so I tend to start off a dungeon by asking if people want a full run or bosses, and if they want larger or regular sized pulls. So I rolled my daily roulette and landed in Copperbell Mines with a Thaumaterge, a DRG, and a SCH. Figured that with the Thaumaterge's AoEs and the SCH fairy out we could probably try for larger pull and I was prepped with this in mind.
All hopes of doing larger pulls died in the first room. You know, the one where you get a key to unlock the door and enter the dungeon proper?
Yeah, we almost wiped that room because of the healer.
I had to pop my cooldowns on those three trash mobs because the healer wasn't healing anyone nor was her fairy. Fairy was too far back and the healer was just standing there. After dragging the mobs over to the fairy she started healing and I explained to the SCH that they would need to move with us. The SCHs solution? Put one of the DPS on follow, saying that they were busy with raid rotations or some such thing.
We proceeded to do the rest of the dungeon with the fairy healing us and the SCH not doing any DPS until the last boss. Dungeon dragged on a lot longer than it needed too because of that. Even better was this healer had a few level 50s and a 60 as well.
Both DPS were pretty great though, had a hard choice on which one to give my commendation too.
Seriously though folks, I've been busy doing things with my UI and rearranging skills when dungeons pop, but when you enter a dungeon (especially as a healer!) that's party time, not your time. Stop what you're doing and play with folks.
Daaaang, I also had a run like that. I was playing dps in tam tara normal, and we had a scholar for our healer. The scholar didn't do ANYTHING. No heals, no dps. They didn't even unsheathe their weapon to make it look like they were doing something. As we progressed through the dungeon, they kept complaining about how they had nothing to do. Yep. They also told the tank to pull more, which the tank did. At the end of the first big pull they said, "eos healed all that". If you have the time to stand there and type comments about how you have nothing to do, maybe help us?! I never said anything that whole run because I was too annoyed to reply...
Most recently I had a WoD run that was pretty terrible. I was playing dps, but I'm sure the healers were all on the verge of quitting. Weird thing was that I had done CT and ST beforehand and ran into a looooooot of the same people, so I figured this run would be smooth.
First sign of trouble was that I queued in progress. First boss is pretty bad; boss is being moved around everywhere so people are getting hit by the same color twice or more. A lot of people die to doom and standing in the death circle. At one point, I get aggro and have to bring it back into position, (was playing blm) almost dying in the process. Get past that mess and don't run into any problems until we reach Cerberus.
The fight was fine until the purple goop came out. People would stand in it before they had mini and get chomped mercilessly. Once I get inside his stomach, I noticed one of our healers came in with us. They cast medica 2 and got brutally mauled by all the unknowns. Get out of the stomach and the wolfsbane are everywhere. Don't even remember how we recovered from that horror, but we made it... somehow.
Cloud of Darkness is even worse than the previous bosses. Multiple people are getting killed by the chasing laser because they simply stand there after they dodge the aoe. There's a lot of meteors with no people under them, and Cloud of Darkness manages to get 6 stacks 3 different times. We wiped three or four times. The melee in our group would not lb3 when it was up. One of the ranged decided to lb, but WAY too late so that we didn't even have an lb bar when the clouds were all killed/sucked in. DX After a lot of people quitting and repeating of mechanics, we finally finish, and with less than 30 mins on the duty timer. I really wanted to leave that run, but I wasn't motivated to do WoD again. XD Really thankful I wasn't healing that either though!
Well, I was just reminded of why I quit healing in 2.X.
Tank dodges nothing, uses zero cooldowns, not even shield oath. I get them through first two bosses, dying on trash because tank can't hold aggro. We wipe twice to curator, partially because I have to spam bene 2 on the tank cause he sucks, and partially because one of the DPS isn't killing adds.
Take a wild guess who got kicked?
I'm done with healing again. And I was having fun with AST, too, but nothing is worth this headache.

Did Dawn Vigil on roulette yesterday. Tank (Drk) was geared enough to do the dungeon, but not geared enough for the pulls she was doing. I was on AST and we did well with a few close calls up until the first batch of Ice Sprites and the monsters right before that. Coming off of a somewhat powerful mob before that with the snow wolf, my cooldowns were expended and she died along with a MNK that couldnt avoid AOEs. Group wiped and no one said anything. With at least a few enemies off the mob we blew past them and finished the dungeon without any snafu, but no commendations were given that day.

Joined solo an in-progress expert roulette yesterday as WHM, no one was on so I figured lets see what is out there. It is Neverreap, they were just a few trash packs in. I got about putting the usual Asylum, regen up and all then going ham on DPS and then I see my aggro meters going from green, to orange real quick and eventually red. Never mind the PLD wasn't positioning correctly either. Okay, I think I know what went wrong here seeing the DPS take damage that isn't from a tornado or AoE.
PLD isn't much undergeared they were probably i160ish, and had the law i170 weapon at-least plus some green left side but the DPS had their Hive weapons so obviously if they don't understand how to generate aggro at this state of the game they were going to pay for it, and they did. So mobs were being moved all over the place because all of us had our share of rips, and they were frantically using flash instead of hitting the mobs like they are suppose to. So for me it just easier to DPS more, live, and heal through the hate on me than to to just sit there and heal not only this messy PLD but everyone eslse. I mentioned he should use his Circle of Scorns AoE more often to keep the hate in his control.
Nope. No response. It was about as nice as I could word it. I don't speak up about optimally playing jobs unless it's a threat to the party's health, and it was.
However I did see it show up once on the tree mob since it was taking a bit longer because of the hate issue, but that was it. They never used it on the pull rotation or even close to it, which is the easiest way to secure an initial lead on hate, they always face pulled, used flash, and never spun the mobs around. Which we all know is nasty.
Nevermind I didn't see a single cooldown ever show up, not even a minor one like Convalesence to help out. Not until the last pack before the final boss. Sentinel was used, and that was because I purposely let them get very low and would just use a Tetra or Bene if-needed while I Holy since by then we were all tired of the hate. Sure I got 3 comms and the run wasn't slow at the least because the DPS were good, which is a shining star to see in duty finder nowadays. It is a bit infuriating seeing a level 60 tank get this far without the basics down.

I hear you. WHM was my only class for a while, but I ended up getting fed up of it and trying DPS (Nin.) Most fun I've had in dungeons for ages.
Healers end up having the most work while also being punished for everyone else's mistakes, and it's unfair how the blame immediately goes to them when everything goes to hell. Whenever a run went badly, I'd feel embarrassed and convince myself it was because I was a bad healer. After playing a different role, I've realised that a lot of the time, it was down to the tanks/ DPS not doing their job properly. DPS in particular - just trivial things like not walking into AoEs and taking down adds make battles go 100% smoother, even if the healer isn't very good. The amount of times I've had "how <insert duty> goes is all down to the healer!!!" lumped on me when something goes wrong, only to oneshot it with minimal trouble with new tanks/ DPS...
It's been fun playing without having all the responsibility heaped on me this time.![]()
