Suggestion: Add Twintania mount for purchase on Mog Station

    Dear SE,

I'll start off by saying that I completely understand that you want to promote new players to the game and offer it as a reward from the "Recruit a Friend Campaign". It is a great reward system, but, like myself, there are many players who are not able to take full advantage of it. Many players are just not able to recruit new players(either from not having enough friends that play mmo's and would like to play FFXIV, or know anyone that play's mmo's).

So I ask can you please add the Twintania mount for purchase on the Mog Station? You could price it at 39.95, 49.95 or even 59.95, and I'd still buy it(and i'm sure others would too). I think these prices are reasonable considering the demand for this mount. You will be surprised how many people would buy it if you added it to the Mog Station.

    Thanks

Maybe in another colour or altered from the 'reward' one. why?

You should think that its a 'reward' and an 'appreciation' that someone brought few friends to the game, or had a friend play with him/her for a long time. I don't want to sound cruel but its all luck, some people are lucky to have 10 friends and relatives play the same game.. some not. As in real life you should accept that fact that not everything is 'must attainable'.

I as well want a Twintania mount, but its unfair for the people who got it as a reward. So, either another cool mount or an altered version of Twintania would be a solution. I might end up inviting myself several times till I get it xD

The way that I see it, we all pay to play XIV, so we should all be given equal chance to obtain things. The RAF system is great and is actually the reason I started playing the game! However the OP pointed it out, not everyone has the ability to invite friends to play the game.

I would love the mount and I would buy it if it was made available. However, since the Original was made for the RAF system and rewarded to those capable of referring friends to the game, I think the best option - should it be considered and because there is such a demand for it - is to add a second version. The Clone could be coloured differently (like the ex-primal mounts) or it could have... a muzzle! The Original already has the ring around its neck, I don't see why the Clone couldn't have an altered version of that.

Just like with any MMO, there's things that not everyone will ever be able to obtain. Look at the feats of strength from wow. Many people don't have the time to put into earning those, same with the meta achievements that give mounts. And the metas that have since expired and are no longer obtainable for one reason or another. If everyone was given equal chance, the goal becomes lost and not desirable for hardcore players, and as such, those players will go seek other games, which cuts the playerbase. IF they added the twintania mount to the store, it would be of lesser quality and likely look very poorly designed as a means to get people to obtain the better version.

I'm sorry, but in an MMO, not everything is obtainable for everyone. This is a fundamental rule of the very genre. Those with more time, more skill and more connections will always get more and better stuff.

If you are going to use time invested/skill based achievements/rewards, or even connections as a comparison, you should consider the fact that SE provides rewards to the Hardcore players as well as the casual players. They release a hardcore raid with end game gear, and then shortly after, they release a casual raid with the comparable end game gear, that way casuals players(with or without connections/skills) can eventually be on similiar levels as the hardcore players, gear wise(not BiS, but pretty close). Also, do not forget about relic weapons, those are for casual/hardcore players, and they are competitive with hardcore raid weapons.

Since SE generally gives casual and hardcore players competitive items, why would this mount reward be any different? Right now, since it is locked behind the "Recruit a Friend Campaign", that doesn't give all the casual/hardcore players(even those who have actually completed T5) the same advantage or "competitive edge" because not everyone can take advantage of it. It is a flaw in their casual/hardcore reward structure and I feel it should be balanced appropriately.

I'm having the same problem, i have friends that we joined this game together and some friends who's not into RPG at all.

What i really think is good idea.

Adding Golden and Silver feather into Mog Station.

By adding this, player will have 2 choices

1- getting free feathers by recruitment.

    2- buying feather from MogST

I hope SE will consider that.

There are some players who create a new accounts just for the fact of recruitment rewards.

You get this is just a marketing bait? If it's made available for $ it'll be useless.

It's completely fine how it is, and I'd say doing pretty well. Lots of people seem to have it, or are actively trying to get it.

Or or or, hold on....have it drop from T5. What good customers you are, willing to throw extra money at SE for doing ANYTHING.
