We do. But it's wrong of us to assume we all want the same things.

Its up to SE to make the judgement call of who to appeal to - in no way could they ever satisfy them all. In this circumstance, it benefits themselves and the game the most to make this compromise, as the only ones who won't get the items are those who do not wish to invest in this game one way or another.

Speculatively, I feel as if that falls those particular individuals outside of the range of the target audience.

Eh, while I'm bummed that the Yukata's are blocked behind real money...at the same time it's $2 or $3 for an outfit and I get to pick which one.

Coming from a F2P background where this exact same yukata was far more likely to cost $10 or even $15 a piece...........honestly this okay. Now paying for an emote, I don't agree with 100%, but having to compare paying for pixels before, the yukata's a steal.

I just wish they'd get their pricing's straight. So a full yukata is $3 but a tiny ring or pair of earrings is also $3? That...doesn't make any sense. Smaller items should cost less. That's really the biggest issue I have with their cash shop: I think they spin a roulette wheel and price items based on where it lands :/

Cashshop in P2P model is wrong end of story it hurts gameplay, it doesn't help that more and more "good" things are being thrown behind weird walls that can't be solved with gameplay, and the seasonal events have been getting worse and worse with less and less rewards, want cherry trees do endless maps wanna finish easter event do gimmick fate where it takes forever to solo if someone did it before you, even this upcoming event seems like another multiple fate grind. Are they making the events really stupid and grindy and stupid so people will buy things with money later of course it's easy money but it sucks the little bit of fun out of every event.

A cash shop only hurts gameplay if it provides an advantage that players who don't buy the same items won't ever get. The items offered here are the opposite: they're purely aesthetic items that the majority of the player base has already earned. Meaning it's offering those who don't have it a choice: don't have the item or pay a small fee.

If you don't want to pay money for an event item, you play the event. If you don't want to grind, why are you playing an MMO? That's all they are.

Putting the odin and twintania mounts into cashshop and recruit a friend instead of there respective fights does hurt the gameplay of those fights killing a huge incentive for replayability making lazy events because the items are just going to cashshop later hurts the gameplay of those events

Now that I agree. Mounts in a cash shop just flat out shouldn't be because you know people are going to want those. Look at how people still farm for ponies even now.

But pieces of clothing you might use in glamour? Very specificly designed pieces of clothing that even people who did play the event and enjoyed it aren't even using? That I don't see the harm. From a customer perspective I would have rather they just made them tradeable or sellable so players could get rid of the ones they don't use. But then they'd be priced at hundreds of thousands or even millions of gil, which would only help further encourage things like RMT.

If I have to pick the lesser of two evils, I'll go with $3.

that kind of already happened for the cherry tree's they were tradeable and became mega expensive, but i like the idea of doing something even kinda silly ingame for what we see i know clothing is already part of the events. but the minions like even if it was a dumb quest where we got or made the materials for tataru to make those neat outfits for people and she rewarded us with a minion of her stuff like that. but now that this model has already succeded i cant wait to see how everyone's new hero in the story gets marketed to people.

I would say the cash shop was came from the "Fantasia or Riot". A lot of ppl asking a cash shop for in-game items.
And second phase, additional retainers for $2, ppl didn't foresee the furture, didn't object it.
    So now, I just hope SE expands the cash shop, make it more fun for players who pay more. ^^;

There's nothing wrong with putting old, exclusively obtained cosmetic items in the cash shop.

As mentioned, when they added old items from the previous events to a vendor for gil last time, players who actually had to do the events to earn those items complained... and I would agree their complaints were justified.

However, I will agree that we can't let the cash shop get out of hand. As long as it remains old items or cosmetic items, it's fine.

The items being in a cash shop doesn't satisfy the complaints of the twelve year olds who got upset that other people had the same stuff they do. They're also, by the way, not the kind of people SE should be paying any attention to.

They had a perfectly fine system in place with being able to purchase old event items with gil. Then they ruined it.
