The fact that the MCH soul stone was created during the quest rather than already existing opens up possibilities on how future jobs can be obtained. Maybe creating advanced jobs by fusing 2 soul stones from 2 existing ones together? Or maybe infusing the stone with a stronger Aether to upgrade by accomplishing group-related tasks, ala relic?

I doubt they would have future Jobs fuse Job Soulstones to create a new Job. That may cause issues such as losing the Job Soulstone and the ability to use the Job.

Another issue is that people may complain that future Jobs would require 2 Jobs or in additional case have the new Job require 2 Jobs to be at a specific level along with complaints that they have to level a Job they do not like and how the new Job is gated behind 2 Old Jobs then more complaining about how it is a bad ideal due to not all players leveled one of the 2 Jobs and how it gates new players from accessing these Jobs due to being gated behind 2 Jobs.

At some point, I think people are going to have to stop being babies and accept the fact that they were left behind. I know that SE is trying very hard to accomodate new players and veterans alike, but what happens when the 3rd-4th and 5th expansions are out?Do they simply phase out ARR and HW? Or do they just give people the cliffnotes version of the story until then? Time will come when the story of a story-driven game will progress so far ahead that anyone just jumping in will have to start from the beginning or the story won't make sense. You can't watch the 5th season of Game of Thrones and expect the entire season to give you a full background history of the events prior.

Levelling multiple jobs have always been a Final Fantasy staple. Tactics, FFTA and A2, FF1, FF5, FF11 FFX-2, FF13. In Tactics, You couldn't become a Calculator until you were lvl 8 BLM lvl 8 WHM, Time Mage, Geomancer or to become a Dark Knight, you needed lvl 8 Squire, lvl 8 Knight, Lancer, etc etc. They're advanced jobs for a reason.

We're not talking Ragnarok Online levels of job grinding here, where you needed lvl 99 of a certain class to ascend to the next class, which starts back at lvl 1, only to grind it up to 99 again for the next class. We're talking maybe getting them at 30 (which is when you get the job stone) and doing a separate quest to combine them. You don't lose the stone, just infuse the aether from both to a completely separate stone.

For example, if in 5.0 Era SE give players the option to choose to start their New character in 2.0 or 5.0. This brings back a Legacy and New Adventurer Storyline for 5.0 where Vet players who choose to stick with their character that been through 2.0 to 4.X MSQ have slightly different dialogues than New Adventurers that start out in 5.0.

Of course that would mean there may be a event in 4.X era that leads to 5.0 being a separate Main Storyline such as certain Main Antagonist or Antagonists may have been eliminated at some point in 4.0 or 4.X era thus opening up room for 5.0 to be separate and have its own new Antagonists for this new Storyline or the WoL dies in 4.X MSQ leaving room for a Successor, being the 5.0 New Adventurer, or to be reborn in Eorzea, for Legacy version of 5.0 story.
