Should I still do side quests?

...that are around level 52. Is it worth it to do all these side quests with a 54 or should I just continue with the main story quests and then use those side quests to help lower up a lower job?

I continued and reached 60 without wasting the exp from those quests. So I suggest continue with the main quest first.
