You get what you get in DF good and bad which is why it's there it enables all people to see content. Don't like it either find a static or use PF and set your own parameters.
I think you're a little off base here. The main fight in question, being the DPS check of Bismarck EX, doesn't even exist in the DF yet. Also people don't get kicked from DF groups, the group just disbands. The only thing that might change when implemented into the DF is that the parser data is more likely to be used for harrassment since you'll never see those people again. Most logical people will accept and expect DF groups to be unable to clear a fight.

What I find absolutely hilarious is that the thread is mainly about something that isn't even in df... nice try though.

People honestly just need to wake up, and stop being ultra defensive about their situtation, and accept it, and take FRIENDLY advise when given. This applies to tanks, healers, and dps no one should be given a free ride for harder content. Harder content like Extreme Primals, and Alexander Savage is meant to be "Hard." Not content meant to be given to those that don't want to try. Some people like challenging content, let them have it. If you don't like doing challenging content then don't do it. I for one am glad they are putting in higher dps checks for harder content. I myself get a sense of self accomplishment when I beat harder content...then to always have content that is..."Oh I just queued up for said content knowing nothing, and beat it my first time, and I got free gear." Kinda kills the whole meaning why I am playing, with zero goals for myself to go for ingame...boring...aka me unsubbing.

I think having a parser solely on Training Dummies is a good idea for those that WANT TO IMPROVE, and for those that don't want to be slammed for poor dps during an encounter. So atleast the players that play dps looking to do endgame have a vague idea of thier own dps score, and start to improve themselves.

Going further in, they have to do mechanics and their rotation optimally.

So this is on a different level than 2.0 when all the encounters call for high dps.
Especially when they all seem to have hard enrages meaning you can't just repeat phases ad infinitum while playing safe.

It's a good change though, in my opinion. It was too lenient overall before.
    I agree 100% with this.

My point however was that while yes the DPS requirements of fights were far more lenient in 2.0 than they are now (much more so), there were still a large number of players who were unable to meet those base requirements. The number of Duty Finder runs I've joined where Leviathan Ex has enraged (with a full living party) or Ramuh Ex parties where players just didn't have enough DPS to down adds were surprising.

Even Titan's heart on release was a large DPS check we tend to overlook now with echo and over-gear but at the time of release there were cases of parties of players that managed to survive up to that point in the DF that simply had issues killing it (and no lets not overlook that the larger issues were still dodging before and after the DPS check here), but I'm not saying that the content was by any means difficult because it really wasn't. The issue is that all this time the walls have been getting a little higher with each release (as they should) but with no way for players to gauge themselves going into each new encounter, so like you said less and less players are unable to skate by doing what they were doing before.

Segmented and lenient DPS checks are still DPS checks, what wasn't as apparent for more players before is just becoming more so now, but the complaints were always there.

It's a great change and is good for the health of the game to see increases in difficulty, but there needs to be systems added that go hand in hand with those changes that teach / allow players to improve themselves via in-game means, and sadly striking dummies just don't cut it.

Okay class... Let's look at DPS from a different angle today: "DPS is for closers."

Do you think DPS is a 'carry-me' role? You do? Hahahaha... Then I have news for you... It's an important role that must be respected and ... earned. You just won't cut it by going cross-eyed with your tongue sticking out, while wearing your pants on your head, and using your nose to repeatedly hit one button like you used to ... in some other MMO.

Ask yourself: have you earned the privilege to DPS today? Have you healed successfully, and kept/got every one up? Did you tank it like a champ, and made a chump of the boss? Yes? Good. Then you have earned the right to try your hand at the highly coveted role of DPS!

Since you have either played a critical supporting role, or you were the main attraction, then ... you likely would have learned how to use your skills to their fullest, but equally as important, also learned the mechanics of the fight (as in, when to use what and how). Furthermore, you likely would have been accomplished enough with your ultra-sneaky super-ninja button-mashing '-no-jutsu' skills ... to discover the awesome magical world of ... *gasp* ...rotations. Wheeeee... :P Yay! High-five for "rotations!" They are SUPER Effective for DDers btw.

Now, before you get your coffee and cue-up as your favorite DPS, hit that practice dummy some rounds and learn how to dot it up, buff u up and fire your DD CDs on cooldown, while rolling your rotation like a pro! Got that down? Awesome! ...And who's awesome? You're awesome, for making the effort to put your best foot forward before you queue up!

Now get in there and show everyone how to rock a DPS!

We've had the same problem for two years. No amount of complaining or telling people to "get better" on the forums is going to make the problem go away if telling people to get better never worked to begin with inside the game. It is definitely a design issue at this point and needs to be addressed by the development team. We're playing a game with a grouping tool. Those "bad DD" are the people the developers want us to play with. Having Yoshida tell players to "git gud" is bad comedy at this point.

Don't allow the skip CS lol some CS tells you what you are suppose to do and how to use ur skills. The problem is that some CS are too long and ppl are here to work in this game not to enjoy. They gotta get to high lvl content asasp.

My son who is 10 years old, going into 5th grade after this summer, managed to get level 60. Hes been playing since 8. He was level 50 at HW launch but didnt have story done. Somehow he got carried through primals, not sure if there is still a titan lockout these days but he got to HW content and now hes 60.

Keep that in mind. An 8-10 year old, who easily got to the point where half these threads are complaining about. I guess the point is, this game isnt really gated properly. Kids do play this game. SE hasnt really made it hard for them to get to where most of us are at.

I checked his /playtime, 16 days. Not bad for 2 years. SE just nerfs, removes the requirements for gated content, nerfs, hands out gear we spend 30+ hours grinding for capped tomes in the new "Hard dungeons". If these DPS doing 300 are children, and you knew their age, would you blame them? Or SE?

I would blame the parents and SE.
This game is rated for 13 years and above.

Partially SE's fault for not making the player improve through the quests leading up to DPS checks, and partially the parents fault for letting an underage kid play without supervision/guidance.
