Help:Scholar eso weapon

Hi there!
Im not sure if i should buy the eso weapon for my SCH or buy the body/hat piece instead.Well im currently in a static and we want to do savage in the future so i want to make a wise decision.Can someone help me?;D

Get the weapon, it's the biggest upgrade for any job.

No its not. At the moment it is not the biggest upgrade for SCH I even heard bards being unhappy about their bow upgrade. Fact is you can get 2 body pieces at the moment and get the same benefit you'd get from the weapon, especially if you want to hold onto every crit stat you have.
Personally I'd recommend going for body and boots or hat.

Does anyone actually know 100% how crit hit rate works lately ? Because even stacking maximum doesn't really give more than 15%?

Weapon however has damage increase(healing increase), but i can't believe square would give SCH a weapon with spell speed >.>

I rather have more mind, piety and also more weapon power than hoping for any critical to proc.

Secondary stats are basically meaningless in XIV. Yes, an extra 5% chance to get a crit Adlo is nice, but more WD, MND and VIT will always be better IMO. You should only really start to worry about secondary stats when you have the choice between two pieces of gear of the same ilvl, where only the secondaries are different.

Sure but if you can hold onto the 5% and yet get the same constant healing benefit you'd get from the weapon, I"ll do that.

I meat 5% extra crit total from all crit on your gear. The 90 crit on a weapon is less than 1%

I could have sworn I wrote "5%". :P Nonetheless I don't think the weapon is the best first piece to buy.

IMO for SCH is is either weapon or body first, then the other one second.
