Nah, what you don't get is it's easier to balance adjustments to red scrip gains than it would be to say increase the amount you receive in terms of materials.

So I'm Player A, I've spent all my scrips and played the system as it was designed so because I was playing the game and working with the system and one of the players whom saw concerns, I'm punished when they adjust it?

So I'm Player B, I twiddled my thumbs and just let others play with the system, because of their efforts now my scrips are worth more oh what happy day.

You see the issue? You can't adjust it now because you create a rift in the system, an unfair advantage over those who saw issues because they invested in the system and then those who held their scrips. The thing is you have to let it ride out, play with the system, yes it's harsh but your materials are more precious, so treat them that way. it won't be easy, you won't be able to gear in one day but people have already proven they can obtain x gear set if you put the effort and teamwork into it.

Basically though, if they were going to change the system, they would have to find a way to reimburse those who already invested their scrips without giving either side an advantage.

As it stands now the only way they can do that is by lowering the amount of time it takes to get red scrips, because while the destination might be the same, the time it takes has been greatly reduced and it should be something others should understand and not inquire why they don't just give +2 more of x etc etc.

3.1 is where you will see those changes, they can't do them now, those adjustments are just to sensitive to just throw into the game on a system that is barely 2 weeks old.

It would make more sense to make those changes now, rather than a month and a half down the road when people have invested more time into the current system. You create a bigger rift in the system the longer you wait.

So bad systems should never be changed because players will get mad?

I got my Atmas when it was hard, I didn't complain when they increased the drop rate because I'm not entirely selfish.

Why is this a problem that things get easier for the next people to move up the chain?

If the first monkey to ever leave the trees had had this kind of attitude the rest of us would still be up there and his achievement would have never lasted beyond him.

Never look in your neighbor's bowl to make sure he doesn't have as much as you, look in there to make sure he has enough, and if he doesn't, help him fill it.

If the system is flawed, fix it and don't worry that was harder for the ones who went through it first. Fix things because they are broken, rather than sitting on them because its not "fair" that other people have more fun than you.
