Yeah I recently switched to get my 300 caps. It's really bad. 0- 7 so far. I'd be dying with 4 healers around me . Oddly enough the Rez is almost instant.

adders in odin finally had a good run n decent team work in the 72 1... we won like 8 out of 10 last night was actually good to see great team work

I had a 3 win streak last night, sadly I had to leave, good games!
I always see people characterize Aether Adders as terrible and bottom of the barrel but that really has me scratching my head. I tend to play a lot of PVP and my Adder game is around 80% 2nd place. Adder is very middle of the road. Mael on other hand comes off as kind of dumb. Often if one GC is holding one node right under their spawn and other GC are holding three spread out nodes, Mael will go out of their way and harrass the GC with a single node.
Reason Flames seem to be so consistently at the top is they are quite good at manipulating Mael to desperately and usually fruitlessly bash their heads against Adders. Even though this assures Mael to be consistently in last place, it also insures Flame to be consistently in first place.
Aether Adder kicked IF and Mael ass in a match this weekend. That was embarrassing as hell. Of course, Adder got mostly 3rds and a couple of 2nds for every other match of the weekend, but that one loss to them still burns me.
The Lodestone rankings show how imbalanced this to be and I'm saying that as someone who benefits from that imbalance. I sort this for my own world to be able to limit to to a useful quantity of data where I can see a broad cross section under the 100'player limit. Sorting for my server, then the individual GC's, and finally on victory rate, I see this:
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...&match=&gcid=2
Adders with a victory rate >= 50%: 11
Maelstrom with a victory rate >= 50%: 10
Flames with a victory rate >= 50%: 2
I'm sure there are people in all three GC's who deserved either a better or worse victory rate than they actually got, based on how they played and whether for some it was a carry or a loss they didn't deserve. I feel bad for people who are trapped in a GC with a win rate or queue times beyond their control.
Primal seems to be an odd ball. Flames in every other Datacenter seem to be either dominant or at the least competitive.http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...&match=&gcid=2
Adders with a victory rate >= 50%: 11
Maelstrom with a victory rate >= 50%: 10
Flames with a victory rate >= 50%: 2
Primal: Flames 29 with 50%+, Adders Top 100 52.9%+, Storm Top 100 52.1%+
In comparison the other Datacenters:
Aether: Flames Top 100 65%+, Adders 25 with a 50%+, Storm 36 with 50%+
Chaos: Flames Top 100 50%+, Adders 11 with 50%+, Storm Top 100 53.8%+
Mana: Flames Top 100 60%+, Adders 47 with 50%+, Storm 60 with 50%+
Gaia: Flames Top 100 53.3%+, Adders Top 100 50.6%+, Storm 51 with 50%+
Elemental: Flame Top 100 55.2%+, Adders 43 with 50%+, Storm Top 100 50%+

Interesting... it's really the Chaos datacenter Adders who seem to need a permenantly echo boost. And in Aether they and Maelstrom are suffering about the same.
I don't think I want to see datacenters merged ever, if the GC restriction stays in place with PVP.
I decided to do some quick data analysis as well using a different methodology... This is on Aether.
I sorted by those with the most number of matches. I figured the sample size was larger for these people and if you sort by win rate it may be biased and heavily influenced by a few premades.
I pasted all this data in excel and calculated the sum of all matches and victories for the top 100 people combined for each GC, here's what I found:
Adders - Wins: 2150, Matches: 8263, Win Rate = 26.0%
Storm - Wins: 2206, Matches: 7623, Win Rate = 28.9%
Flames - Wins: 4340, Matches: 8102, Win Rate = 53.6%
There is obviously some bias here as the total win rate is 108.53%. I am sure there are a lot of people that played fewer matches and didn't do well, got disappointed, and stopped queuing. If we just scale evenly by these ratios though we get
Adders: 24.0%
Storm: 26.7%
Flames: 49.4%
This is pretty consistent with my experience solo queuing as an adder. I've often gotten into games and people in my alliance just say something like "I hope we don't lose too bad this time", there's a mentality where people often give up before it even starts.
Does this bother me as an adder? Not really. We have shorter queues as a result (although if you look at total matches, you'll see it's not as different as many may think). It also means each win you get is much more meaningful. Even with an 8-man premade you have to work pretty hard to make up for the PUGS but each win is extremely rewarding. You go in knowing it's not going to be handed to you and you gotta work for it!

the most ironic thing is on aether a gilgamesh pre-set Group completely dominates when they play but there all rank 50 now with all new gear so they arnt playing anymore. and now adders are losing while flames and melstome duke it out
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
