These are both valid strategies, but what Ferbus is describing, and what I've seen as well, is one GC just throwing themselves at another, for no other reason than to make the third GC win. In one of my matches Adder started camping our landing, ignoring Mael and new tomeliths. They ended the match with less than 50 points. There was no reason for them to do this, except to allow Mael to win. It wasn't a desperate attempt for them to get 2nd, it was only to prevent us from getting 1st.
