Levelling First Alt Class to Fifty?

Sadly, if you did all the quests, it's a grind fest from here.
I would recommend that you at least get SMN to 50 though, because you get a 50% exp bonus when you get a class/job to 50 for all of your classes/jobs.
There are things like hunts and levequests that feel like quests, so you don't have to just do dungeons and FATEs, so it's not too bad. Just be careful to not burn yourself out.

He is at 50, the forums don't seem to update. He's not even a Seadog anymore, I made him Hellsgaurd. And yeah.... That is super old intel. Not my server anymore either.

It's now been increased to 100% and No, you don't need a job at 50 to unlock it. It's automatic from level 10 on. As soon as you can unlock multiple classes, all but one of them will have the full bonus. (That bonus is 100% from levels 1-50 and 50% from 50-60, but only requires another class higher than your current one. How much higher, or whether that higher class has met any milestone level numbers is irrelevant.)
