Yoshi stated that there would be a new event in between the Summer event and Halloween one, so not really a surprise. Nice that they are doing it based on an in game events though.

Personally I'm rather shocked we're getting this instead of a Halloween-themed event. But hey, any event that isn't bell-ringing is a +1 for me.

There's still 60 days til Halloween, I'm sure we will have a varitable Smörgåsbord or of treats and tricks waiting for us in late October that or RAAGE hehe.

Yes I'm well aware. But SE is not prone to "new events every month" much. 3 events in a row Aug/Sep/Oct seems unlikely, especially considering the tight schedule for 1.19.

EDIT: I was expecting no events in Sep (so they can focus on 1.19) and then a Halloween-esque one in Oct.

They already confirmed a Halloween event, and it will probably be included in the 1.19 patch (since it's on the table provided by Yoshi) ^^
