If he doesn't speak the other languages he shouldn't tick them. Now I assume he speaks english according to this post and his client is in english.
What I really wanted to say was, IF YOU DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH DO NOT TICK "E". I only have E ticked because I want people to understand me in dungeons if we are having problems, but almost always I get the "sorry no enlis" when I try to explain why we just wiped or something
And people speak in french or german in chat. There's an option for that so I wish people would use it.
Or oor, we should be allowed to kick players who doesn't follow the language rule
It is depressing when you only tick E, but still get into a full party of people speaking French or German =/ Dunno if it's a derp of the DF or people just ticking everything for faster queues, but it does make communication super hard.If he doesn't speak the other languages he shouldn't tick them. It's definitely for faster queues. People have been doing it in Dota for years.
You can actually tell if they clicked all the language options, right click search info and it should be in the corner.
I actually have the opposite problem... I click D, as I speak D (besser als ich shrieb D!) and always end up in groups full of E... when anyone bothers to communicate at all. Usually it's just a mad, helter-skelter run from the beginning to the end, with no one having the time or care to type even (Hello!) (Nice to meet you.)
It really depends on the content =P Most dungeons it's fine as you don't need to say much, but it's much more fun when you can talk to the people. But ... eh. If someone screws up repeatedly, you can't tell them why if they don't share a language with you and it's frustrating.
I have no issue with people trying to get faster queues, it's just irritating when that kind of situation arises, and it does surprisingly often on my datacentre. Mostly due to a language group who are stereotyped (sadly pretty accurately) as being generally bad as well as refusing to speak English =P
You are not getting my point. I ONLY tick english because I don't want to read silly french or german in duty finder, I want to play with english speaking players. Yet I always get french people and sometimes german players that don't know a single word of english.
In dota you can report them for doing so though. I don't think we are allowed to kick players who don't speak the language they searched for in this game.

What if you get a french player, who can understand and write english, but decide to write in german?
